-
Tyson anyone??

Good idea Macca. Im more than happy to go with yourself or Wadda for the “emergency” pick.

Rated a Soft5 at the moment Wadda. Boom Time should be too good for this lot. Returned with a great first-up run.

G’day binman, just realised we need one more selection from you for the placings when you get some time please. Cheers.

9 games to go RM.

He’s been excellent since he came over. I’m struggling to answer, so far his season has been underrated imo. Dreaming I know, but it would be awesome to see Bernie hold up the Cup in his final game.

Round 9 Non MFC Games ... Shanghai Dumplings

Did anyone else hear the small training report on us from BT and the Duck when they were discussing our game next week? Apparently we are bubbling and training very very well. It’s the only thing we have heard about our training this week. Great to hear them finally mention Jetta. -
Good luck Wadda, hope they hang on for you.

Nice work lads. All later races so no need for me to do the Zephyr Dash to the TAB early. Weekend off and looking forward to some good racing.

So, what’s everyone up to? -
Yes please Wadda, can you get me an audition? My towering height of 170cm should easily get me a gig as a jock. Nice pick btw, good value.

Round 9 Non MFC Games ... Shanghai Dumplings

Heard a little of a Hardwick presser. He wants the umps to offer better protection to Dusty on the back of a quiet 1 free kick for game last weekend. That’s nowhere near enough for a ball player like Dusty. Will they oblige this weekend? -
I might be playing it safe but Oregon’s Day is my selection. Untried at the 2000m but after watching her last start win it suggests the extra 200 shouldn’t be an issue. Terrific win pulling away impressively late. Looking at all her form, the mare seems quite versatile in regards to settling positions and from barrier 2 J Byrne shouldn’t have an issue gaining a good position from the jump.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 9

Great points, with our continued ability to enter our forward 50 frequently these two will cause the opposition headaches week in week out. What a draft gem TMac is turning out to be. Pick 53 defender turned forward and compare him to some of the latest key forwards that were drafted as top picks. Patton, Boyd, Schache and McCartin. Those players couldn’t run out of sight in the dark at the moment. -
Poor Dom, gets a whack on just about every thread.

Looks good Macca, I’m happy to go with that. While I’m at it, here’s my Best Bet: Flemington Race 6 No.1 Rich Charm. $3.00Tab A return to winning ways last start after being far from disgraced earlier in the Autumn. Likes the track and distance , goes very well on the soft and even if it dries out, the horse has won half his starts on a good track. Interestingly, Udyta Clarke resisted running in the G1 Goodwood this weekend and opted for Flemington. Clarke stated she didn’t want to draw barrier 1,2 or 3 down the straight but I’m willing to put my JJ hat on and back what I feel is a classy horse. Here’s the latest on Rich Charm. http://www.bloodstock.com.au/news/story.php?id=28165

Too late to run another fine live Demonland podcast from the hearing? Should be a hoot?

I’d like to nominate the Doomben Cup Macca. It’s Tom Melbourne time!!! ???
-
Nice. Number 6 as one of the most iconic. Worn by the first AFWL captain and also by Fred Fanning when he kicked a still standing record of 18 in a match.

On The Couch Monday showed some examples of blocking where no free kicks were awarded. Some might have seen this but the blocking segment starts about 10m 50s into the video. They show a few, talk for a minute or so and then show some more. Needless to say the Garlett one was a shocker.

Like Tom Hawkins’ partner tweeted. WTF??? The umpires were very generous and favourable toward the brothers at the hearing. The umpire in the Ed case stated he didn’t realise at the time he was touched by Ed. Again WTF????

There was no issue with his kicking in 2016, not that I can remember anyway. Some of his brilliant bursts ended up in a few wonderful running goals from distance ( Adelaide game at the G a good example). He was a bit more hit and miss last year but in saying that his kicking didn’t really stand out as terrible. He was ranked one of four “ Elites” in our team at the start of the year. It’s his lack of involvement that’s the issue presently IMO, had a good start against Richmond then faded, he was ok against the Saints without getting too many possessions. He wasn’t the only one guilty of bombing the ball earlier this year. Didn’t we have the “ long bomb” thread up a few weeks ago? Was it purely instruction? The backline seems really settled now but i still believe he’s best 22.
