My point is that there is such group think around the top 10 to 20 players each year, usually based on current rather than future ability.

My guess is that in five years time the best player from this draft won't have come from the top 5 or even top 10 picks. It just seems to be the way these days.

That's the point, both Scully's and Fyfe's weren't all that exciting but one is now a star and one is a plodder.

I'm not overly excited by his highlights it must be said. However, I wasn't overly excited by Scully's or Fyfe's so it's still very much a lottery.

Melbourne still get access to some of the best facilities in the country, why is it an issue that they share with other teams? I know for a fact that the Demons and Storm help each other out a lot with various things including training equipment.

You were watching the wrong videos? I saw the Fyfe highlights video and it was underwhelming also.

I remember being underwhelmed by Scully's highlights while everyone else seem to salivate.

I still think Laverde's highlights look more impressive.

Happy to be completely wrong, but those highlights of Petracca didn't overly excite me. EDIT: Also, Angus Brayshaw looks like Cameron Bruce taught him to kick a football. Quite awkward and often with a high ball drop.

I agree, however with point 3 it should be spin around quickly and then run back (backwards).
