  1. Sorry SWYL but there is not much competition, Rugby League in the country is dying on its feet The teams are now made up of one or two Aussies, then KIwis, Islanders, Englishmen, Union converts, reformed bad boys etc Mental toughness comes with maturity
  2. Didn't realise I had hit it, distracted by a hipster sideshow in Gertrude St
  3. You mean he has had digestive issues as well as his ankles, gee has had a tough run
  4. It depends on whether you want to stand outside, everywhere will packed in Richmond because of who is playing both games You are better off in my opinion to head to Gertrude or Smith St in Fitzroy then walk thru East Melbourne to G If you want pre game 'atmosphere' though stick to Richmond, Swan St is the best place for this, all the places are more or less the same on game day
  5. Who do I talk to? And not necessarily at training
  6. The club has and aiways will adverise 'open' training sessions I attend 'closed' sessions coz I don't rely on the advertising Assume today was a 'closed' session and I was told it was at Casey Never known the difference between open and closed sessions, especially at Gosch's and haven't bothered asking
  7. Anybody interested in doing a bit more, you can always rattle a can before the QB game http://fightmnd.org.au
  8. Catty..and we haven't even played Geelong yet consider it flattery I know the Demonland Podcasts were 'listened' to
  9. Nah it was probably just a nuisance he could manage early on, but got worse, no game, rehab
  10. You beat me to it, I have stated this I don't know how many times, any twinge/tweak/tightness/ache is reported, course of action decided, Clarry may just have a bit of soreness I am jealous, haven't made last few trainings, stocking up on money for season, made up for it by buying a bit of Bayley Fritsch in a sponsorship syndicate
  11. Nah, slight rehabbing for everybody except AVB and McKenna Omac got a knee in the back, he's cool
  12. ESPN carries it for a start But it's geographic The AFL are trying to make it more wudespread, you do get highlights on a lot of news service What's a newspaper?
  13. They do some serious Match Sim, so that could be what you heard
  14. Think it will be a big session not an Intraclub, Casey have a praccy game on Saturday, so some may get a run there.
  15. You need to have a look, it is hugely popular in Ireland, Sth UK, East Coast of America and growing in Asia
  16. It is 2018 not 1970, the AFL has to compete in a global market where you can watch everything from European Champions League to farting contests 24 hours a day if your little heart desires The days of the 'workers and silvertail clubs' and suburban rivalry are long gone, I live in the Collingwood annexe to East Melbourne, but can't quite carry off the man bun with my luxuriant solver lockd The clubs are a business, get the right people in and the business thrives, a bit of on field success helps 'Employee' movement is also part of this new look, hands up who hasn't changed jobs for more money, success, not feeling appreciated etc etc Jack Watts kicks 6, Howe takes a hanger etc, who cares, not me, they are not with MFC anymore
  17. Gee bloke, if Dec gets a go at AFL level, you may have to stay home??? the rubbish I hear every game in my 'supporter seats' at the G how are his ribs
  18. @Drunkn167 thanks for your reports But gee, seen Dec take drastic actions to get out of the sun and heat at training, but this??? give him my best
  19. Why don't you ask for a personal email each week, to keep you abreast of each and every situation arising at the club Each time I have asked about or spoken to Jack Viney in the last couple of weeks, Rd 1 was a possibility, obviously after reading Demonland and so as not to feed the MFCSS, the club has erred on the side of caution Pleasing everbody all of the time, now there's a concept I'd like to see
  20. Steady WJ injured too strong a word, if they get an itch these days it's rehab, would only say McKenna, AVB and to an extent Viney
  21. Or constantly reading between tje lines, and looking for any excuse to carp Viney looks ready to go at training, he has told me he is right on track, the Club are being extra cautious.....great I say
  22. There is no blame to attach, I watched Viney at training, he looked and said he was ok, he wasn't
  23. For those wondering with Viney, listen to Dom Tyson's interview last night, it is all about k's in the legs, he hasn't done enough and won't have by Rd 1 Bring him back early just asking for a soft tissue injury Edit I am sure Viney will be asking how he can get the extra k's in before Rd 1, think this is a very public NO from the club
  24. Thanks tough guy, ageist to boot, the psters information proved to be totally inaccurate, as I had spoken to Nibbler at Family Day, I thought I would share my info
