  1. I consider Dumont as good if not better than Crouch and one of those could be there late, even still a good inside mid will slip to our second pick. Couldn't have Crouch near Aish, Sheed, Billings or Kelly.
  2. Couldn't have him before Dom based on the Champs alone, Sheed really made an example of the whole Vic Country side. I don't mind Crouch as a player and he has performed very well of late in the TAC. But, I could not have Crouch above Sheed or Aish, but even still I've heard reports Matt is better than Brad - and I'd gladly give Adelaide our pick 2 for Brad. So, if we do pull the trigger, I won't whinge a bit. Probably rate him 6-12. I like Dumont as a late pick and feel he fills a need as an inside midfielder. I feel we will take Aish, the generally consensus seems to be that Aish falls at 2. My thoughts on AIsh is that he is outside - and he certainly looks very outside in the SANFL, but people say he does play both. So, whether he is just getting through the year given his shoulder, it's understandable and Aish is still getting in the bests in the SANFL. I'm not against trading both our first picks - assuming we get a PP, I am happy to trade both. Our forward line will improve ten fold with Clark, fit Dawes, Jesse Hogan, possibly even Jurrah - I'd back us to take him if Roos is coach. We should chase some established mids, definitely look to trade a PP if we get one, we need results.
  3. Hard to see us taking him before Sheed considering Dom torn the whole of Vic Country a new one.
  4. That letter by Bruce Reid acknowledges that he in fact knew what was going on - just that he didn't like it. But, he was the doctor and that regime did in fact take place at a club where he was head doctor. The AFL is pointing the finger at Hird and CO... Hird and Co are pointing the fingers at Dank and Robinson. If Bruce Reid had concerns and James Hird had imput into this letter, then why didn't they stop what was happening? If Thompson wanted injections to stop - then why didn't he tell Hird, etc.. A lot of so called letters and meeting covering the backsides of certain people. This says to me, this was very well thought out by Hird and Co, they knew the consequences and planned for this day.
  5. Fitz gets it done. We need more players who get it done.
  6. If the Chief Commercial Officer a new position? If not, who last filled this position?
  7. Just seen the Hird press conference, bloke pulls no punches. He is fast becoming one of my favorite sociopaths, move over Mr Armstrong!
  8. Some on this board suggest their is a rumored ticket with Eade to coach and Ling to I assume assistant coach. This would be amazing if true, Cameron Ling is the real deal, he knows what it takes. Ling really knows his stuff and he has been a part of a club that was in dire straights - yet rose to become one of the more successful sides of recent times.
  9. Clark is about as much of a brother as Mitch Robinson.
  10. It's not guaranteed to stick, if the Bombers agree not to pursue charges if the case is dropped - then they'll be fine. The AFL needs to save face something though, so someone will have to take the fall. Individual legacies seem to be more important than the Essendon football club. For all the harping on about how much Essendon means to certain heroes - no one is willing to take the fall for the club. Essendon would wish they had a Chris Connolly amongst their ranks right about now.
  11. Brisbane are further back than us now, their board is a shambles, Roos won't consider them anytime soon. In the meantime, if we can manage to get Geoff Walsh or a quality football manager, then Roos will jump aboard.
  12. Watts now has the body to play the position in which he was recruited for.. Yet 3 quarters of our supporters want us to move him on! Watts is going to be a star.
  13. Jurrah would be more of a risk at any other club, it does appear that he has great support from the MFC. We can probably thank Bailey for that.
  14. It's food for thought anyway. I've been Liam's biggest critic, but If PJ deems Liam to be rehabilitated, then I see no reason why he couldn't play for us again. Leave it in the hands of PJ, he is the only bloke getting things right around this rabble.
  15. In fairness, 90% of blokes playing for MFC atm could be replaced by Magner.
  16. We don't deserve a priority pick. If I barracked for an opposition side I'd feel the same as Barrett. But if we don't receive a priority pick, we won't improve and the AFL need us to improve. We are a blight on the competition and the AFL knows that it owes it to Demons supporters to give them hope. If we can trade our PP for an elite midfielder, that creates some hope - more than we currently have anyway. If we can get an established midfielder or two, we'll improve a lot next year.
  17. The only thing that annoys me is that Carlton clearly tanked more than us - yet they got off with the tag. Demons are labelled tankers and cheats whilst Carlton are forgotten about, that is the only thing that I have a gripe with.
  18. Ok, he is 18, my mistake, it's ok to ruin him now then.
  19. Combine that with the fact that Neeld was also hated and it's unstandable that our players want to see the club stable - before they sign. If PJ had his own colours, I'd wear them.
  20. Probably the least of our problems really. Realistically David Neitz could still play now and be our best forward.
  21. And Neeld.... I hate to pick on MN, but Rivers and Moloney didn't appear to have a problem with CC or CS, their problem appeared to be Neeld.
