I don't think there is much difference between pick 2 and pick 9. We upgrade from pick 20, which was a pick that will probably blow out to 25 after compo. Pick 9 gets in before any compo picks and apart from Boyd - there is very little splitting the top 10. We have 2 bites at the cherry to get an elite mid, we have Dom Tyson and whoever is there at 9. Be happy bud.

I think that is Salem, not 100%, but he looks exceptional, moves very well.. Once again, I assuming that it's Salem, stood out for mine. Boyd looked to move better than I remember him aswell.

Polec by FAR... This kid can seriously play! No doubt we should be targeting Polec, he should be HIGH on our list, higher than Vince... Much higher than Vince.

Howe holds his spot in the side easily, takes hangers, puts bums on seats, creates interest in our club, etc. Unless he has lost a leg or something, we should keep him, plenty of others to offload before Howe. We have a whole list of blokes who don't perform, why get rid of one of the very few that does? I agree we need to win matches, but I'd only offload Howe if we could bring in a bona fide gun like Shiel. Shiel is that good, I've watched him all year, would be a dream to land him.

We need Howe ourselves, he is a useful marketing tool. In saying that, I'd let him go for Shiel... Howe, second rounder for Shiel, where do we sign up.

Yeah, I'd expect some real quality to slip outside the first round. If we get decent comp for Sylvia, I'd be holding onto it and our second rounder. Getting Shiel for 2 and using our second rounder and Sylvia compo in the draft would be an ideal result. Not sure what we'll have to give up for Michie, given he has only played one game in a few years.

Anyone have any idea what Viv would cost us? Good to hear there is at least one player out there who wants to play for the greatest club in the world.

I watched Shiel closely this year and I dare say GWS would be asking for more than pick 2.

No way, that is ridiculous. Toumpas very well might end up a better player than Crouch. Between Aish or Kelly, one of them will end up better than Crouch, no doubt.

Elliot is a gun, he'd be a great target for not only MFC, but any side in the comp. I'd rather Elliot higher than Adams and by a fair space.

Yeah, I'd go for Kelly as well, If Kelly played in the SANFL this year, he'd of torn it apart. Aish was handy, looks classy, looks outside. I think everyone is sleeping on Kelly, he is the standout of the draft. Knightmare mentions on big footy that Kelly is too outside and won't transition to AFL - so everyone just rolls with that. If Kelly won't transition because he is too outside - then what hope does Aish have? He is far more outside than Kelly IMO. I think both have a lot of potential, but on exposed form and combine results, I'd lean towards Kelly. Happy either way and would be also happy with Sheed or Crouch at 2.

Rockliff would be our best result possible... Possibility even better than Shiel. Rocky is an impressive leader, he is EXACTLY what the MFC needs right now. I don't believe no-one wants to come here, I just think it's early. Players would know that Paul Roos isn't in the business of failing.

Makes sense, they'll need to throw something in with Vince, that's for sure. Vince is a good player, but at 28, he is nearly done IMO and doesn't have the best off field record. Vince would be a better pre-season draft target than someone you'd trade for. But, I won't jump the gun, I think the draft is fairly even and there isn't a hell of a lot splitting 1 or 20.

Kelly would just runs rings around both players. Josh Kelly is the best player in the draft and he is by a fair space IMO.

Which is exactly why Craig is a good fit at Essendon, because he is a good bloke who can ease parental concern in regards to players families, etc. There is no doubt that reading between the lines, Craig will be taking care of any questions regarding player welfare, etc.
