  1. I really think he is suffering because of three major things. 1. the weight of expectation is getting to him, he had a huge deal on the table from the MFC, and he decided to put talks on hold for now, that carries some risk that if his form drops away sharply the offer may not be the same when he re-opens talks ( for me he's going okay at the moment though ) 2. he is not understanding that just because he is talented beyond belief that it's going to be his hard work that gets him through the moments where it's not going all his way, not his talent, this is something Macca was talking to him about at training last week, " if it's not going all your way, which happens to every player, simplify things, don't worry about goals just set yourself the goal of doing 1 or 2 things really well, like don't be outmarked and get to as many contests as you can" 3. i think we have one to many talls down there and it's crowding the forward line! i personally think Watts is good enough on currant form to be the second big and allow us to play an extra small/medium forward
  2. i was huge on Parish and still firmly believe he'll be a very good player but my god, Oliver is something else!
  3. Gus Brayshaw and Hogan last year, Oliver and Petracca and even Weeds at some point should have an impact this year good signs
  4. he was well held after half time but some very important clearances, i personally feel 23 touches, 15 contested and 7 clearances or whatever it was should get him right in the mix for the rising star nod
  5. Has kicked 2 goals in a row since you posted this, but i agree
  6. I still fully expect Roosy to be involved in some capacity in 2017, i suspect both he and PJ aren't the sort of guys to leave a job half done.
  7. Not sure if it ever came out but Oliver was super keen to come to the Dees pre draft because he wanted to play under Roosy, get the impression he has kept tabs on him for a little while!
  8. Video up on the website of Roosy letting him know he's playing.
  9. Tmac we know had been in talks, Watts has said he hasn't started talks and Jesse we know was having discussions before pressure built to sign on and he's put it off for now. Dom Tyson is the other one who is a pretty important re-signing.
  10. to be fair, Cripps season was outstanding! i think of the last 5 years he's been the second best behind Hogan
  11. I don't know, i wasn't as impressed with Weitering as most people seem to be, Moore is a gun, i think Oliver is right in the mix and i reckon Petracca will be as well
  12. I just love the sheer effort and hunger of the kid, he goes in 3 or 4 times at the contest every time, all day and tries to rip it away, and when he gets it has the pace to burst away I know alot are saying Voss or Black. but i really see more of Chris Judd,
  13. Jesse Hogan was also reasonable in his first full season, comprehensively beating the ALL Australian full back in his fourth game. i am expecting Petracca to be just as impressive as well when he gets out there! we're pretty blessed at the minute.
  14. parish is going to be a good player imo looks like Oliver will be as well
  15. People who have been so impressed with Brayshaw and Oliver will be stoked when Petracca gets out there, imo he is the best of the three.
  16. as good as our young list of mids is, Oliver could easily be the best of them.
  17. The beauty of the situation for me is i almost find myself forgetting we still have Brayshaw and Petracca to come back in as well, our young talent is as good as anyones these days
  18. He's going to have to work on his tackling to avoid the wrath of the MRP, but otherwise super impressed, i see him having a brayshaw like impact this year and playing a lot of games.
  19. I DGAF what number he wears as long as he keeps playing the way he is, he is a serious chance at rising star
  20. Sore back apparently, nothing serious, club isn't concerned and did a scan to be sure but they are taking no risks with it, did the same thing a few times last year, if he feels pain, he rests just to make sure he doesn't have any more issues.
  21. Unfortunately facts aren't things reporters rely on, even a quarter of a story is enough for them.
  22. Lol.. Hawthorn and Collingwood are bigger threats to us keeping Hogan, he won't go back to Perth imo
  23. Jesse could win the coleman this year, our midfield looks much deeper, big max is looking at a podium finish in terms of the comps ruckman and the entries should be much better, and i don't believe there is a defender in the comp who could consistently beat Jesse one on one already.
  24. I still believe firmly it's just his manager making sure he doesn't rush anything, by all accounts Jesse loves the club and is loyal to it, but his manager is just saying, settle down and see how this year plays out, 10 wins or more i think will see Jesse sign on before the start of 2017, ultimately i think he's ours to lose though
  25. Granted losing Pav and Sandilands is going to free up some money.
