Can't imagine the saints are feeling great about this now.
-
His decision making has gone through the roof. That pass to ANB would never have happened in his first year, he would have had a shot. The kid is a star and has a lot of scope to improve.
-
I think it's more likely Goodwin just doesn't see a spot for him, I thought he'd get a run last week with our injuries. Trenners has some interests outside footy that I am sure the club will make sure he's getting into for the end of the season when he walks away.

And honestly I think McDonald is better at full forward than hogan at this stage anyway. And watts will be a handful for the third tall of any side
-
No way. Teams would be terrified of our team kicking it into a forward line containing hogan, watts and McDonald. Hogan will find form and make us a genuine premiership threat before this season is out. We might well get lever as well
-
We can beat Adelaide, port is 50/50 but I am backing us, the giants aren't the world beaters they get talked up as and we have a great record against them, north are rubbish the lions aren't much better neither are the pies and saints is 50/50 i think we will beat north, pies and lions for sure and if we sneak in one more we should be a lock for finals.

The Curnow v Weideman Debate Reprised
Ted Lasso replied to deelete my account's topic in Melbourne Demons
More than happy with the promise weid has shown, I think long term he'll fill a position for us that no other player at that selection could have. -
I think we are good for another 3-4 wins. If that gets us top 8 I'll be happy. Any extra wins are probably a bonus from where we are
-
Good to know the crowd can now do whatever they like to a 19 year old kid and it'll be his fault
-
I often wonder if behind closed doors the club would be asking questions of umpiring like that. Without the help of the umpires it would not have been that close

Tom McDonald - are his days as a defender over?
Ted Lasso replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nope but it gives weid the opportunity to develop, improves our depth and makes us a better side. When weid begins to reach his potential he'll be good enough to win a spot -
Well said. You'd hope the Carlton footy club will be having a word to this supporter about the way he conducts himself at games as well. I really don't understand how the instigator has become the victim in this case

Tom McDonald - are his days as a defender over?
Ted Lasso replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
I really like him as a forward, he's strong on the lead, a great contested mark and a good finisher and takes the pressure right off hogan and I don't think our defence is worse off without him -
I thought he was pretty good today. And clearly he's a better on field leader than anyone we could replace him with.
-
Would love to see Clayton Come out and say exactly what was said to him. Take the power away from this coward
-
I absolutely love how when we win goody gets down on the ground and gets around the players! When was the last time a Melbourne coach had this sort of rapport with the Melbourne players??
-
Absolutely! I love when people suggest Carrie is soft. The kid is 19 he'd be winning our best and fairest by a mile, and we are looking a decent top 4 chance. Has had 28 contested possessions in he last two weeks and isn't without a chance of taking home the Brownlow/ all Australian in his second year. But the media want to focus on a couple of silly incidents, rather than what could be one of the best second years from a young player in a very long time.
-
I loved how he called the media out for their rubbish articles. Armchair experts need to be pulled in line from time to time
-
As goody said "Clayton wasn't going to react like that for no reason"

Carlton supporters on twitter claiming Oliver threatened to kill him and want police involved. The media totally ignoring the fact that the reaction was clearly provoked. And I thought he touched Oliver as well
-
Out: smith, Kent in: Tyson, watts
-
Not sure a group of Carlton supporters are the most credible witnesses. Amazing how a bloke who mouthed off at a 19 year old is becoming the victim?
-
I thought the umpiring was painfully bias today. Even my Carlton supporting mate said we were getting a bath. Time for s please explain from the mfc to the afl
-
I'm sure it was totally unprovoked. Lol the Carlton fan is a [censored]. Oliver shouldn't have said anything but I think it's two silly people mouthing off at each other. Slap clarry with a token fine and move on
