  1. Since he got moved into the middle at halftime of the Essendon game, we have won 14 straight quarters and 4 straight games. His impact has been profound. He is 4th in the comp for inside 50's per game. vs Essendon - 21 disposals, 4 inside 50's, 6 clearances, 8 score involvements, 311 metres gained vs St Kilda - 32 disposals, 8 inside 50's, 5 clearances, 9 score involvements, 659 metres gained, 1 goal vs Gold Coast - 24 disposals, 8 inside 50's, 4 clearances, 8 score involvements, 475 metres gained, 1 goal 3 behinds vs Carlton - 24 disposals, 7 inside 50's, 11 tackles, 2 clearances, 8 score involvements, 412 metres gained Looking like pick 3 was very well spent.
  2. Maybe he will get a gig in the next couple of weeks... we only have a short break on the return game from Darwin vs the Doggies.
  3. If only Max has kicked straight in Round 1.... not only would we be 7-2 , but the Cats who are currently 8th would be 12th with a 4-5 record. Damn it Maxy! But you have made up for it since, big time.
  4. Here are the votes from The Age Votes J. Melksham (Melb) 8 T. McDonald (Melb) 8 N. Jones (Melb) 7 A. Neal-Bullen (Melb) 7 M. Gawn (Melb) 7
  5. Since he moved forward Round 12 last season Melk has kicked 33 goals in 21 games, with god knows how many score assists, score involvements and lace out passes to teammates inside forward 50. He was battling away on the half back flank last season until the bye. I dont know what team meeting we had during the bye and who suggested he moved forward, but it was a stroke of genius.
  6. 2018 AFL League Goals Per Game Leaders (Minimum 2 Games Played) Rank Player Team Games Goals for Last Game Average 1 Lance Franklin Sydney 6 3 v Fremantle, Round 9 3.50 2 Ben Brown North Melbourne 9 5 v GWS, Round 9 3.44 3 Tom McDonald Melbourne 4 4 v Carlton, Round 9 3.25
  7. Hes playing as the 2nd KPD, which is a very pleasant surprise. He started shaky in that role but he looks about ready to dominate. Playing as a KPD is what will elevate him from being the best 3rd man up/intercept defender in the comp to a certified superstar.
  8. I dont think we have lost a quarter since you made this thread. ? CB for Prime Minister!
  9. Just a lazy 5 today for the Milkshake. http://www.afl.com.au/video/2018-05-20/jake-takes-five-in-demolition
  10. And to think from 2012-2014 we could barely muster 10 goals per game.
  11. I like what Bull Smith brings to the table... 18 disposals, 9 hitouts, 5 tackles, 2 shots on goal. Whats the point of bringing in Pedersen who may or may not replicate Smiths numbers/impact? NO CHANGE
  12. 6 Milkshake 5 Lever 4 T Mac 3 Gawn 2 Jones 1 Brayshaw Honorable mention - everyone else
  13. Our best effort since 2004 when we were 2nd after Round 9 http://finalsiren.com/AFLLadder.asp?AFLLadderTypeID=1&SeasonID=2004&Round=9-1
  14. Brisbane beating the Hawks... geez that would make the day even sweeter.
  15. From 2-3 and 89% to 6-3 and 127% What a month of footy.
  16. Three points off.... do better next time ya hack.
  17. Jake Lever had more possessions than Clayton Oliver. What a time to be alive.
  18. The return of the prodigal son at Catland isn't gong too well for them. Looked like he was running in cement at times. Would love if the Dangerfield era delivered nothing for them after they were handed him on a platter.
  19. Destroy them. No mercy. Top 4 awaits.
  20. Six changes for the Hawks tomorrow vs Brisbane, O Meara and Frawley out... At the Gabba and the Lions are overdue for a win. They have been pretty competitive despite being 0-8. Reckon they will roll Hawthorn. Wouldnt that be lovely.
  21. Both Curnows out. Karma for violently attacking those poor umpires.
