Name three good things
Ok I acknowledge all the mourning needs to happen but I need some optimism to get through today/this week without prescription meds. 3 good things from yesterday: 1. Olivers continued dominance. Easily BOG. 2. Spargo is gonna be a dangerous player for us next year and beyond 3. We can beat Adelaide and season is still alive. Your turn.

POSTMATCH DISCUSSION - Round 18
Geelong kicked 8 goals in the last quarter. They kicked 8 to three quarter time. This wouldn't happen to a Richmond or Sydney. There's a mental weakness that allows this to happen. Simply say no. That's enough. No more. I won't let it happen again. We beat cats next time and the crows.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 16
Agree Petracca showed good form with 130 supercoach points. Shows his potential. The critical commentary has been valid. We are still a year or two off bring a top 4 team in my opinion. Mostly a lack of coaching experience more than the players. Need to sort out the best backline line up.

Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 14
No 1 on the VFL ladder by a mile with Richmond. This must say something good about our system and coaching. Usually the top AFL side has a top VFL side who Richmond does, but why is our AFL side a lot weaker?

Changes v Fremantle
Bring back Vince. Can't be experimenting with Casey players at this time of year. At least he can kick and handball at targets.

My 3 word player analysis V StKilda
Thought Petracca played better this week. Gawn was excellent. Clarity down on usual.

Why success is improvement
Here's the irony of it all. By accepting nothing less than finals as success. We create extreme pressure on ourselves and the team, which makes success less likely. If anyone has actually played a sport, they'll know success comes from being in the moment without expectation.

Why success is improvement
Forget finals. Success this year is about more wins than last year or strong signs of improvement. We are seeing that. Richmond will win the flag again. Nobody can beat them at the G and they're in the right age bracket window as a group. Put your money on them now. Finals experience would be nice. But games like tonight will teach the players just as much as a first round finals loss which is all we can expect. I feel like there is too much pressure on finals. It may not happen due to Hawks and North super easy draws. Cheers

Round 13 Non - MFC Games
Can't see anyone beating Richmond come finals time at the 'G. Hate to say it but they'll go back to back. I might put $100 on them now to ease the pain.

Post Match Discussion - Round 12
We've lost clearances the past two weeks despite being the best team in the comp prior to that. Wonder if that's to do with the return of Jack Viney? Lacking a bit of touch going through there?

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Totally agree with OP. Really hope this is his last year. Costs us 1-2 goals a game by being slow and unable to chase down opposition forwards. Play another tall or pacey back like Hunt or Frost and see how we go.

Changes v Collingwood
Spargo will be fine. Extra 3 night's sleep this week than usual!

Home ground disadvantage
Yeah but that was Carlton.
-
Home ground disadvantage
At MCG - 2 from 5 Away - 5 from 5 We seem to be a far better team away from the MCG. Is it because of the MCC and history of the ground? I believe the players play worse under the perceived scrutiny and judgement of the significant MCC crowd. As if they're a bit nervous and keen to impress. Away from the G they are free, unshackled and born again. Anyone agree?

Why the Dark Days May be Over
Great song. Seeing the old warriors makes me emo. If we won a granny I'd cry tears of joy.

Adelaide’s Tom Lynch
T Mac had an off day. We need another forward who can clunk marks. Maybe Weid but I'd trade him for Gaff.

What Champion Data Think
Just finals. I'm burnt from last year still.

What Champion Data Think
Omg we've played nobody yet. Can we beat a top 4 side before we talk about the F word?

Changes vs Gold Coast
Viney coming back to AFL this week could only have 1 of 2 outcomes: He gets through the game unscathed but has an average output (sub 20 possession) He re-injures his foot or does some other type of injury The whole reason there's a 3-4 game preseason is to get players used to match conditions and into form. One does not simply waltz into a side after a year off and have a blinder with 30+ disposals.
