If you can build a roofed stadium for $750M I would be very surprised. Has any developer actually offered that price. Does Tasmania have the workers Based on cost per seat which is a good way of comparing build costs Australia had the highest cost in the world (Optus stadium in Perth) and the Gabba estimates are even higher
  2. Dogs are a 6-10 side. Hawks are a 10-14 side. If we are any good needs to be a regulation win in what is looking like a pleasant day
  3. Petty didn't even play four quarters of the VFL Scratch match and was relatively statless against a team that went 0-18 last year. Not sure he's quite ready
  4. Agree it will have to be something like that but what a mess. Imagine the arguments over whether that final section of byes should be alternated/random or fixed. Remember the AFL loves to manufacture tension not to mention blockbusters and if you get rid of the pre-finals bye you have the issue of teams playing interstate.
  5. Agree but then again I'm a start in April guy and 17 rounds. I've certainly not witnessed a great fan demand for more games. Still waiting for the AFL to explain how the season will work when we have 19 teams. Sure you have a rolling bye for 18 weeks but then you need multiple byes in the last 3/4 weeks to even up game numbers. The ladder will become impossible. I'm not adverse to a pre-season under 23 comp or similar using some VFL players to make up numbers
  6. I'm overseas so I've not had the chance. Pity me on WatchAFL at 720p Watch for the ball in the air. Can you see it clearly in the long shots?

My guess is JUH will command 6 years at roughly $1.2M Could even be offered 10 years but without kickers I doubt he would take it. The incoming Tasmanian team will completely skew the market in so many ways It will be okay for the Dogs. Like when Hogan left us they'll get two first rounders and with luck they'll pick up a key back which they desperately need

Brisbane's big problem is the Suns. In two team cities the norm is for one to be up and the other down. Lions play the Suns twice... lose both and top 4 becomes hard. Same for Swans and GWS

I assumed he got rubbed out for kicking the guy in the shins from the video
  10. Lever's disposal has never been one of his strengths. Kicks the ball in a rainbow trajectory I'm surprised we don't have a player running by for the handball.

A poster yesterday used the name "Pork Barrel Park". I quite like that
  12. Obvious from training reports that BBB has a light program. If we can get him up for next week that would be great I see the weather is dry and 23/24 which is not too bad
  13. Jack Billings has only once had more than the 20 kicks he has today. The last time he had more than ten score involvements was in Round 4, 2021 with the former Saint having a big impact today for Melbourne. From the AFL site
  14. Was expecting a tough last quarter in the heat ... but wow Very nice
  15. Could and perhaps should have been a day out for Fritsch
  16. That's a win guys Thanks everyone... now to back it up against the Hawks
  17. I'm feeling calmer
  18. Didn't need that !!
  19. One more at least needed methinks
  20. Got to get the goal to behind ratio to 2:1 We're at 1:1... just makes it too hard
  21. Chandler definitely having a good day Come on a few more and it's game over
  22. Would be nice to break away I miss Clint Biskit's 26 point zone of indecision
  23. Could well be BBB with 2 is great
  24. Ahead on all the key stats Forward entry is the usual failure but the Dogs backline is their weakest spot so we might be on
  25. Could be a long year
