Interested - is the chammy Italian or Chinese or other ? Which OEM mfr is it ?

I’m small in morvelo pedal mafia and black sheep

    m in santini race cut

    5’7”, 60.5kg.

    PM?

Chamois is Chinese but Euro styled. All sizes can be catered for. It's a more relaxed fit than race cut... by the way, we're not racing.

    What's OEM, MFR?

  2. Putting together a Demon Cycling Kit. Full kit can be done for less than $100 including jersey (short sleeve), bib & braces and socks. Let me know if you or your friends and family are  interested. It will be short run and these will go quickly.

    Can provide sizing guide

I have never viewed the game quite the same since the events of the 2000 Grand Final. There remains a massive loophole that players can run amok in the biggest game of the year with a penalty delayed until the following season.

Completely agree. Brad Green left the field with a detached retina before the ball was even bounced and Michael Long performed the most cowardly act on a 19yr old. Troy was rushed to hospital. Michael was raced to the AFL hall of fame. Times have indeed changed. Burgoyne did cop a massive $1k fine for his sling tackle on an opponent who never had the ball.

Good.  He is probably saying everything we wish we could be saying if a microphone got shoved in front of our face right now.

Garry annoys me sometimes, but he still loves the club, and that would have hurt to watch.

Let's have him choose our next coach

I'm not one for going over the top.  I like to think I'm relatively measured in my responses.

But there was something deeply, deeply concerning about tonight's game.  It was almost like a car crash that you couldn't look away from.  Every time I went to turn it off I couldn't bring myself to do it.  I had to keep watching.  Just what in the world was going on here?

While we can blame the players and their skills and decision making, this one was lost in the box more than anything.  Goody is a very stubborn bugger and tonight it showed.

Example one - why, in such slippery conditions, would you play three tall forwards?  What was he hoping to achieve?  Was he trying to keep Tom happy by playing him?  Did he just think our bombing tactics would work no matter what?  By playing three talls, two of which are awful at ground level, he took away our pressure game somewhat and we got smashed when the ball hit the deck.  Too often Port waltzed it out and made us look silly going the other way.  It was a dumb, dumb decision.

Example two - favourtism.  While I think some players get a run over others sometimes based on their skills and what they can bring to the side, he has stuck by too many for too long and I can't work out why.  Melksham stunk it up again.  Brayshaw had just 11 touches. Hannan had no influence again.  Jones looks absolutely cooked.  By playing a few of these guys our team is totally out of whack.  He is happy to cut someone like Tomlinson, who was no worse than those mentioned above, but he sticks by others who are in the same boat or worse.  Why?  What does he have to gain from it?  It sends a horrible message.

Example three - the gameplan.  Now, our players can take some responsibility here.  Their skills and decision making under pressure can be catastrophic.  But good sides work us out and we have no comeback for it.  For not the first time in Goodwin's time as coach, we went goalless in a quarter while having an absolute bucket load of inside 50s.  We had heaps and didn't look like scoring from one.  We kick to the wrong places, our forwards don't lead enough and we don't get enough numbers around the ball to keep it in there.  He might have changed the personnel a little, but the game plan remains the same.  It looks poor and we are our own worst enemy.

I'm hurting, like you all are, tonight.  I'm not going to call for Goodwin to be sacked, or to fling [censored] everywhere, but tonight was one of the worst performances we have put in for a long time.  Some might say the four day break hurt, but Port had one extra day plus travel and they had to deal with injuries.  We had to do neither.

I'm really worried right now about the direction of the club under Goodwin, and for the first time under his coaching, I'm not sure he can get us out of it.

Agree with all... except your assessment of Jones. He was prob the only one with any poise tonight.

  6. I’ve been wondering for years why this club has had no success for such a long time. This club doesn’t have a home. Where is our social club? The kids don’t know where the team trains. The players don't know where the kids are. They players don't have to look the kids in the eye after their last performance. If we won a flag, where would we take the Cup? Where would the family celebration be? We're the only club in the AFL without a home training ground and a heartland. We gave it up in the 80s. Simply, we don’t have a home and home is where the heart is. We have no heart.

  7. Great win!

I've loved both games from Zanker this year. She's got a great future in this comp. Size, pace, good decision making, overhead marking and kicking; what's not to like? (You may recall the set shot goal she made last year as a teenager from 45 out on the boundary late in the 3rd against the Bulldogs.)

Also liked the games of Shelley Scott, Kate Hore, Shelley Heath, Maddie Gay, Aleisha Newman, Meg Downie and Libby Birch.

It's been a great start for us given the loss of three key players with season ending knee injuries before round 1 (Lauren Pearce, Katherine Smith and Shae Sloane). Add to it that Bianca Jakobsson decided to join the police force just before season start and Lily Mithen is still yet to play.

The structures and game plan seem good this year. There's a clear to plan to put our leadership strength to halfback (Paxman, O’Dea and Daisy Pearce).

Highlight was Zanker's contested give to Paxman for a right foot snap.

Can't wait for Hore to kick straight and Newman to get some still, dry playing conditions.

Sad news for Ainslie Kemp for her third long term knee injury.

  8. Can we have a vote on a podium finish for our least embarrassing coach of the modern era?

    The nominees are:

    Carl Ditterich 1979-1981

    Ron Barassi 1981-1986

    John Northey 1986-1993

    Neil Balme 1993-1998

    Neale Danniher 1998-2008

    Dean Bailey 2008-2012

    Mark Neeld 2012-2014

    Paul Roos 2014-2017

Simon Goodwin 2017 ~ -Patsy Biscoe

I’m looking for a 3, 2, 1 podium finish for the least embarrassing coach over the last 40 years. To be clear, if you’re number 1 on the dais, you’re the least embarrassing coach. If Simon G doesn’t make the podium then we’re all fine and we can go one another 40 years.

Always good to see the Dees show some heart.

I can understand why some people don't see the appeal and don't appreciate the bigger picture. Luckily it's not compulsory to watch or comment.

Left the ground wondering what happened to Paxy as she's always in everything. A fair excuse not being on the ground, I guess! Missed the injury completely as didn't have the best vantage point. I thought Cunningham showed a lot and Hoare is an actual Giant.

Am a bit bemused by the lack of Mifsud. Maybe just a balance thing, but she was one of our best last season and obviously goals are gold. Having said that, much like last year I think our forwards will build as the season goes on. The Crows will come out hard next week...

Great summary DiO. Cunningham won the ball when it mattered. But wow, there's a foot on the end of her left leg she doesn't know is there yet. .

"God I hate Carlton"... hehe... I'm starting to love Carlton; the way we just take the 4 points away from them so neatly... Bruise free footy.
