Yes, I recall you being 'correct' post after post after post one grand final a couple of years ago. Not your finest moment Clint, well worth the sabbatical.
Unlike yourself I like to move on Moon! You are probably still wallowing in the glory days... of the 1940'S!

I was so depressed about being correct on so many occasions that I took a sabbatical! I have been drinking, loving life and enjoying the 69 virgins!

What's happening gentlemen? It's been a while but I have been enjoying life and it's good! Nice to know the same old shite is frequenting this site!

8-10 wins totally gettable this year when you consider we lead in up to 10 games in quarter 4 last year. I will go out on a limb and say we will win 9 1/2 games. That is my pass mark.

One of These Nights, I will be the member of a Premiership Club.
Great concert, they still have it! Too bad that will be it. Now for the premiership!

I'm back on the grog at one second past midnight on Saturday. As it happens, I'll be going to the Eagles concert at Hanging Rock that very same night. Just wondering if a certain winery in that vicinity has late cellar door sales?
Hmmmm, just give Athol a call, he is a "Guy' that is fairly flexible, but late at night all you will be bound for is Morningtown!

Had the worst banana smoothie ever yesterday. Back to the Paleo.
Have never had a bad banana smoothie, don't mix alcohol with it!
Ive just prepared my usual Friday night Pizzas and when my delectable company arrives I shall take them outside to cook. The outside cooking is also a nostalgia thing for the lads.
Anyway by this stage I would usually have slopped down 3 or 4 stubbies while at least one bottle of shiraz is breathing its last. However , as an abstainer, I have been sipping soda and lime (haven't got the other stuff yet dc).
Now could one one you genii please explain how a couple of sodas ( a fraction of my normal liquid intake) have rendered my ample guts full ?
Gas! Start drinking proper stuff and that problem will go away!
Haven't been on for a while but the same shite still appears! Come on guys give me something witty and above your station in life!

Nice one Redman! Have had 2 reds while reading it though!

So doesn't mean our rucking was lacking

The difference this year is that the pressure is not on the Toump to perform. He has other newbies so to carry the load. look out, look out The Toump will be up and about!

I believe so! 2015 or 2016? Get your money on people!
-
Yes, but they had great midfields...and we...did not!

Is that the sister of Li Na?

An absolutely fantastic get for the Dees! Thought he would get more brownlow votes but roll on 2015!

Have been slightly responsible for 10 memberships joining this year that haven't in past years. We better improve or massive egg on face!

The most important position on the field this year could be Jack Watts....think about it!

Jamar is an excellent tap ruckman, just needs the midfield around him. A few years ago him and Moloney were unstoppable! Will go around for a few more years yet! Our younger guys will be given the time to develop in this case.

I think we are going the early "Crow" with this thread!

I was at the Tooborac Brewery (on the way up to Echuca) a few months back doing a brewery tour and tastings and they had just got a new head brewer, top bloke, who came from Moo, he said come back in a few months once he's settled has has the new equipment installed and he'll be trying some new stuff. Bout time for a road trip I reckon
Been there and has great potential but beers were only okay. Will visit again.
VB is the best beer in the world bar none.
Where I Grew up we had white cans( Carlton draft) blue cans(fosters) and green cans(VB).
I got weaned on VB cans and many years later I still love it.
Could never adjust to German/British/Dutch/American beer.
Could never get VB over seas for many years Export Fosters was the best you could get, which is crown larger in Australia, but know you can get VB in Hong Kong all of the big in cities in China NZ the UK and even the U.S. if you know the right people.
It's going to take over the world trust me.
Vomiting right now after your initial comment! To quote J Mac "Surely you can't be serious?" I suppose you think a cask of dry red tastes like a Grange also?
I was having an aus day drink of coopers and was told this was a " Hipster" choice of libation. Does this make me a hipster? What is a hipster?
Hmmmm Coopers, you have just a little class BBO. I think a hipster means your pants don't fall down to your knees without a belt!

I think that this post is a little unfair - in fact, the beer swiller's equivalent of cultural cringe.
What you say about Australian beers may have been true in the past (and may still be true in regard to mainstream beers), but there are many beers brewed locally that adhere to brewing methods adopted from the Europeans. For example, the Sharers Little Brewery based at the Picton Hotel outside of Sydney has been brewing using German methods since the '80's and make a very palatable drop indeed (served at the Australian Heritage Hotel in Sydney's Rocks area). The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel (also in the Rocks area) has been brewing naturally (with only malt, hops, yeast and water and with no added sugars, preservatives or additives) since the 80's as well.
I cite these particular beers as I am a resident of Sydney, but I'm sure there are similar stories in Melbourne as well. I think you would find there are plenty of local beers worthy of bearing the name of a Melbourne great. I do recall during a late 80's visit to Hobart, a pub/restaurant/brewery that adjoined a park at the top of a hill (close to what was then the Hobart Repatriation Hospital) that brewed a fine drop that, if I recall correctly, was called Tiger Ale. Any Tasmanians reading this may be able to offer up more info.
Been to both of those and do great beer. Nice to know that they are still in existence. Australia Hotel always has a great line up of beers also. Must get up that way again

Considering the thread, I think it is for you to give your opinion on whether Cascade should or shouldn't have W-S's name on it? You seem to be making two (not unacceptable) points, there are some ok aussie beers - (agree strongly on coopers) and the XXXX and Tooheys is [censored] (agree although I think VB is a great solid drink)
Haven't read the rest of the thread but is that available in Victoria (with IWS on it!)?

I'm a Melbourne supporter, so I drink wine.
That isn't enough. A true supporter will give colour, name, vintage and give a lovely desciption of the nose and palate!
If you want a good beer head to the Mountain Goat Brewery in Richmond on a Friday evening. Otherwise my beer of choice is Stone & Wood Pacific Ale from Byron Bay.
Great to see Cascade honour a Melbourne legend. Having said that Boags do produce much better beer, but the Moo Brew Brewery just outside Hobart is fantastic. $30 will buy you 8 stubbies from their collection of 6 (the hef was my favourite), an hour long tour and shoot some hoops at the end!
Love MGB and also Moo. Coopers Sparkling is easily one of the best if you have any sort of taste. I am a brew fanatic and have tasted most. So many boutique breweries and so little time!
