  1. AFL got to have a good look at Mitchell from Hawthorn pretty soon. Could have done some serious damage to Fyfe with another covert knee to the hip area yesterday.

Eliminated Crows best forward Walker for rest of game in previous weeks and probably these two were not the first two. Matthews even brought it up!

Reminds me a lot of the sneaky sort that used to operate in the late 50s and 60s...

  2. This situation, given that Essendon players were to be convicted, could vindicate a heavy handed condemnation of the AFL

Firstly I hope it does, and, as the governing body they should perhaps be looking at some restructure in regard to policy and administration

for a start. I would think with Australian people like Coates around, recommendations could be placed in the right hands....

  3. Just in relation to the desperate spoil in the goal square against Geelong I thought it was reasonably regulation

and not exactly "body on the line stuff" which lots of players do week in week out. just saying...

  4. Roos would have had a view to this game before W.C's (not water closet's) game from a getting up point of view.

We can't get to the stage of having Brayshaw in to win. Only if fully fit. end of story.

    Real S E Game this!!

  5. Yes the difference between Howe and Neal-Bullen was striking yesterday, in all departments and if I was a senior player I would have been quite

embarrassed especially toward the end of the game.

Howe's game yesterday seemed to be in the pursuit of non injury.

So sad to never see the shepherd any more.

  6. One should remember the Status of this particular Coach and take into account all the side issues unfolding.

Should, or have many senior coaches in the AFL ever, after a "suitable" period of time, had their careers resurrected.

Many of the present players could be construed as being tainted to an extent and are not going to be around forever one way or another.

A more pragmatic point of view of a Committee under "superior advice" could lead to a purported demise (for the moment) of a Coach thus appeasing the AFL

and any worried Feds about Aussie sporting reputation going through the mill.

The question is who would and who wouldn't "buy it"

  7. I think that its not only who you play alongside but just as important as who you are coached by long term that matters

more when you make the decision of leaving one club for another. These decisions can be career success stories.

  8. Spencer took those marks last Sunday because he said to himself if Gawn can do it I'm gunna do it and he did!!!!

They should both be playing. Their groundwork was so solid as well. It was like seeing twins.

  9. Yes Bernie is a few things in one.

Not only is he the experience to replace what we lost, he is icing on the cake.

Along with his own enjoyment ( he actually epitomises footy enjoyment ) he seems to have rejuvenated himself.

Take that left foot goal. It was like a hole in one. The smile said it all and that's infectious

  10. Just a thought but we would have a bloody good side available going into finals if the momentum was to be maintained by the present group.

I would quietly start the build from this week possibly. Melbourne has done this miraculousness? before.

    GO DEES
