Which means that we will not go after Latrelle Pickett if this is the case. Expected to fall around that pick 23, obviously no guarantees though, especially in this draft. Unless of course they get a pick back in around that number some how

If that occurs, Death riding the Suns next year will be interesting.

Would love to give you some glimmer of hope mate. Although the "Fat lady hasnt satrted singing" it looks like picks is the end result. I do know that the conversations wont stop until the deadline. The ultimate question is, does GC relent based on the personal issues Bailey has raised? We will find out soon enough

Im in the NO camp. Move forward now

He either loves John Denver or he is really [censored] off GC. I refused to think its dead, yes it might be a very low percentage chance, but I am hoping a miracle occurs from a purely selfish perspective, I feel sorry for Bailey. If we flipped it to Kozi going home, I probably would change my tune also

You must be so fun at parties! Best of luck in life

Its like the weather forecasts. They get paid to get it right, but low and behold they get it wrong also

Correction! The Bailey deal is on and will be until 7.30 tonight. The media linked pick 7 and 8 because that is the suns picks, not too hard to see why. If you honestly dont believe the dees have been pushing this whole time, then you are watching the media or listening to the media also. Even they have said we continue to push, Bailey continues to push, they get Baileys manager to come on air to highlight the position. If what you are saying is true, then all the above is not really needed then, is it?

which all comes back to: Should we have got rid of them last year? I can understand why they didmt with Trac as his value would have been even less after being told he almost died and didnt know if he would come back. Clayton definitely should of moved on last year.

agreed. The clubs primary focus was Bailey, but they also needed a redundancy plan in place should Bailey not be allowed to leave. Hence 7 and 8 were a better option than what Adelaide could have provided. Interesting to note that Trac asked for more money at Adeliade but not at GC

Bailey will always be a player of interest to us, up until an age where he doesn't fit us anymore. Its just a romance that our recruiters have always had since day one. I tend to agree, its this year or never. Just my gut feel

I don't disagree I know many wont like to hear this however its in the best interest that CP5 and Oliver are moved on. The heavy contracts and performance of both players have been underwhelming. One self inflicted and the other has just had enough and needs a change. In order for us to move forward, we need to move forward to set ourselves up for our next tilt. I am very grateful for everything those 2 have provided us "Premiership", but they have also been our achilles heel at the same time. With cap space next year, good young crop coming through and stability in the football department, all is not so dire. I can understand some that are disgruntled but we have managed the past 2/3 years quite poorly and this ultimately became the reason for change, including Goodwin. I thank everyone who has joined this forum seeking clarity, inside information etc. Regardless of what happens we will be ok and for those that doubted what I had posted. I would bet anything I have on the legitimacy of the information. I will always standby what I have published. Go Dees and hope to see you all at the footy in the new year. Go Dees

Not 100% over as the dees will push right upto 7.30 for Bailey. I could see them throwing some picks on top to get it done (My opinion) Low chance but as long as we are breathing, we will continually ask the questions. With Steele being looked at I have the sense that the dees are taking GC by their word.

ask yourself how they knew this? I will leave it at that

Bailey Humphrey
From a draft pick perspective yes, but if players were involved maybe not
-

Absolutely we went all in on Bailey. Its there for everyone to see. That did happen I assure you

post. JUH is no certainty and hence the heavily claused contract

Asked about but shut down even harder than Bailey.

At no point did I say that this is what actually happened. I was stating this is what i would do. Maybe reading isnt your game 👎 I am well aware of the system in which players operate under. Trac is contracted and if he really wants out, we have the right to shop the best deal for him wherever that is. Trac then has the right to accept the destination or remain at the club that he is contracted at.

My strategy would now be: Get Essendon involved on a deal as they are willing to pay Zac Bailey more than we are paying Trac and see if it makes GC blink. Zac Merritt could then go to the hawks and Essendon would be compensated for it.

By simply disregarding tracs preference for his new home. We promised we would facilitate a deal in the best interests of melbourne which is true. However we went all in on Bailey and hence why we asked GC to get involved. I just feel these conversations with Baileys manager and GC should have happened prior to trade and therefore we could have sold trac to the highest bidder. Just my thoughts anyway. If he is desperate to get out, he should be open to going anywhere including the eagles if it had to be

spot on. Imagine Bailey coming out and saying he wants to be a dee and for it to be shot down, then to ask next year that he wants to become an "X team". Makes him look quite silly

no chance

fair points. Bailey also needs to protect himself

Im hearing its all in the hand of his player manager and GC. It appears BH has given up hope based on their stance. The only wavering point to this is if there is a late change of mind now He may not have made it public, but he definitely said he would come to us as he saw it as a great opportunity with the deal for trac. The issue was and still is GCs want to NOT trade him. I feel that the only way it happens now is if something else is thrown in to force GC to look at it he has, not publicly though. Doesnt need to be publicly announced for a request to come through
