  1. He probably would have too. But the Hogan / Toumpas/ Viney shuffle that his leaving allowed means that he can win the next ten at GWS and we'll still be ahead. But he's not one of ours so that's about all the time I have for him.
  2. I'd prefer creep like him didn't. His backing is just servile crawling of a person that lacks backbone. We've had enough of them around the club over the last decade without letting a pathetic troll band wagoner join (even if it is going early)
  3. They finished 9th. I'm over being the special ed kid. We need to get on our feet our own way. Hand outs - and a culture of expecting the AFL to give us what we [censored] down the drain is killing us. We need to be men about this. We really do. Right now we are teenage dole bludging stoners.
  4. Good deal for all concerned, IMO.
  5. This is the moment to shove him out the door. "Sorry Jack. Paul only wants players that give a [censored]. He's building a premiership team. Bye."
  6. And if he was smarter it'd be 0.2 or something. It's not a stat thing. It's a dumb thing. It's bloody unnecessary. And mate footy is subjective. Those frees on a wing are not the same as one's in a goal square. Frees that give easy goals against the run of play =/= soft HBF frees that give you time to man up. You can see it how you want, but he's only in our best 22 because our best 22 is bloody ordinary.
  7. And for all his faux toughness, his pretend hardness, do you see him run and and flatten the bloke that is bullying one of our kids? Never, that's when. Because he is all bluff and bluster. And they rest of the comp knows it. He's an annoying player that will give them free kicks, but there wouldn't be one bloke in the AFL that would take a short step knowing it was Dunn's footsteps they heard behind them. If he's what passes for a tough guy at the club then no wonder players like Watts smell their own farts and declare them to be like roses.
  8. He's done dumb things for years. As long as we have pea hearted, no-skilled players like him on the list we'll go nowhere, no matter who is the coach.
  9. Melbourne FC - if we don't win three games* we'll refund your money *Includes NAB, practice and intra club games.
  10. As is shown under Micky Milkshake: Carlton is an ordinary team that shouldn't have got close to the finals it found itself in under Ratts. He's a better coach than he is given credit for, and he has a Swooper style of getting the best out of so-so players. Give him five years and we *will* be a power of the competition,
  11. Well I'm glad that we don't have all the rest of the junk burning inside them.
  12. I tend to think that getting top 4 means the coach has done their job. They can't run out there and kick it too. Marketing? Pfft. If we win we'll get fans. That's how it will go.
  13. Uncontested: we've got it so can we use it well? Contested: no-one has it and we want it. Turnover: they had it and screwed up with or without out help. All this stuff is just bumf that isn't worth a pie wrapper without context. All stats are. We really need to focus on hard, accountable, belief footy. If we do that - and the cattle are up to being AFL players - then the stats will take care of themselves.
  14. He knows how to draft mids. That can only be a good thing for us.
  15. Bollocks. It wouldn't matter if you were as pure as the driven snow in all this, you'd lawyer up. What sort of fool would sit in the middle of this and not have legal advice?
  16. Belief brings a lot of skill into the game. All these players can play. You don't get drafted if you don't tear up the lower leagues. It's lack of belief in the style; in the team; in their team mates; in themselves; and in the club. Sure we're not going to be world beaters if that changes and nothing else does, but we'd be a different team with belief. Remember 87? Remember 2000? Were those teams suddenly that much more skillful leading into the last 6 or so games? Did they learn some new technical thing? Nope. They had faith in themselves, their teammates and the club. Dunno how you get it back, but if we can we'll stop being that rabble that we are.
  17. The way he makes up those strawmen, just so he can knock them down is a thing of beauty. Shame it has no bearing on what you said. But I getcha. It'd be nice to have a BBBHall to clean up Scully, but those days are over. The day Footscray took Hall from the ground to stop him killing the Nth backline was the day the biff was declared dead - now and forever. Now if you want to hurt them you point to the scoreboard. That's as rough as it gets. And we can't even do that.
  18. Daw has done more than Watts. At least he has a highlight reel. Watts has a couple of good moments and a bloopers reel a mile long. He's a talented spud. Always will be. No heart and no guts. Brain may or may not work depending on the luck of the draw. Now he wants his stay conditional on the coach? Delist him. Make him play for GWS and be Cameron and Patton's understudy in the magoos. It'd be worth losing the value he might have on the market to make a statement to the rest of the team - if you can't play here with heart then you are worth NOTHING to us. NOTHING. There are too many underachieving sooks on our list, and we should never be a party to helping then find a new home.
  19. Hogan. Hogan. Hogan. Hogan. Oh, and some sleight of hand with Viney. And a tonne of cash for Clark. We're still ahead of that game.
  20. If we trade out any players then it's for mids or picks. (but mids preferably - and good one). Otherwise let him walk. Let GWS take him and we can have their #1 pick. I really don't care as long as we don't bend over to let him (or others) walk to the club they want and we get a nqr spud in return.
  21. Ever? Wow. 150 plus years and he makes the dud team of the century and a bit? Interesting.
  22. Aye. You want the job then be better then the rest of the applicants. What's wrong with that?
