  1. The benefits of nuclear technology so outweigh the negatives it's extraordinary. Your type would have originally been against electricity. And yes, electricity causes deaths. Deaths by tsunami and earthquake = tens of thousands Those seriously ill by radiation from Fukushima - nil Are there lessons to be learnt by Fukushima and old reactors ? Sure. But open your mind to the benefits and technology of a clean energy that only gets better. Bob Hawke's argument that we get paid to store waste was a brilliant one. Look into it.
  2. Could, would, haven't. There's no cases of even serious sickness. There's more radiation in a plane, or even a banana than what you'll be exposed to by walking around in Tokyo. Do me a favour and read the following and come back to me. Cheers http://www.weathertrends360.com/Blog/Post/You-Ate-More-Radiation-Than-Tokyo-Japan-836
  3. Just dealing with facts, dolt. Try it sometime.
  4. No-one has died, or become "extremely sick" from the radiation. And "time" is already showing your scare mongering for what it is.
  5. Meanwhile, still no deaths or health problems from nuclear "catastrophe". Deaths from earthquake and tsunami ? Tens of thousands. Recent coverage of said deaths in our newspapers ? Nil.
  6. I believe the author is incorrect. Compensation picks can be traded, but must be used by the club they're traded to in the year they're activated.
  7. You're not sure of my point ? I just wanted to bring some perspective. Firstly, in my view Trengove is harshly treated by some, not withstanding an admittedly poor year, while another player is being touted as being preferable to Boak. But when you look at the facts Caddy's year is inferior to Trengove's. As another poster pointed out Caddy has done very little to date and the fanfare outweighs his output. But that's what happens at this time of year. Players that have done next to nothing get overrated by opposition supporters. Having said that, I like what I see when I watch him play for the reasons you mention.
  8. I know why you want him. Did you know that Caddy's 2012 wasn't as good as Trengove's shocking 2012 ?
  9. That sounds like a description of Trengove. Trengove is unquestionably having a poor year, but did you know that his worst year, this year, shades Caddy's ? http://www.finalsiren.com/PlayerCompare.asp?SeasonID=2012&PlayerName1=&PlayerName2=Jack+Trengove&ExactMatch2=true&PlayerName3=&PlayerName4=&Compare=Add+to+Comparison&SelectedPlayers=2189%2C I like Caddy too, but I do think we become a little too intoxicated with opposition players at this time of year. In a bad year Trengove is averaging more disposals, more mark and more tackles. Trengove's first two years absolutely cream Caddy's 2012. I have no doubt that we'll see a very different Trengove next year. Anyway, I quite like Caddy, but I wouldn't know what he's worth and I'm not desperate for him.
  10. I have a bad habit of quickly skimming most posts. It's rare that I read one in depth. It's all I can put it down to.
  11. I can honestly say I've never given it a nano seconds thought. Do you often reflect on how you're perceived by others ? Even anonymous internet nuffies ? But I do note that you're quoting yourself in the third person in your last paragraph. Oh dear.
  12. The supporters' views on Morton can justifiably be a story in itself. There are more journalists covering AFL than politics, so it's reasonable for journalists to look at all angles. He's packaged it up, which makes sense to me.
  13. Big deal. You are so precious.
  14. I judge all players on their ability to stand up in the heat of a Grand Final. I don't think Morton has the intensity, or physicality to be one of those players. Does he have talent ? Of course. You don't get to this level, or be judged as one of the best juniors in the country if you don't. He's tall, he can take a mark, he has good endurance, his pace is good for a tall, he can actually read the play pretty well. I too agree that he lacks confidence, but it's his aversion to the contest, which is my main concern. Like Jose, I don't get too concerned by the odd error, they're trivial if you're playing your role and doing most things well, but his intensity is a major worry. Did anyone hear Dermott Brereton's comments on SEN ? They were harsh, but funny. When lamenting Morton's physicality and desire to win the hard footy Brereton jided, "most players have an orange at half-time, but Cale asks for fairy bread". Sure it's a silly exaggeration, but ... Btw, I also thought Neeld said "kick on your effing right foot", which makes the most sense to me. My face resembled some of Neeld's contorted looks after that kick, but I can forgive that type of error.
  15. Deaths caused by earthquake and tsunami ? Approaching 20,000. Deaths caused by meltdown of nuclear reactors ? Nil. Serious cases of radiation sickness caused by nuclear reactors ? Nil.
  16. Hey Hoo, so it's the chicken and the egg and not just the egg ? Just a thought.
  17. I reckon it's great. Far from being stuck in a bygone era the MFC is leading the way in re-branding and this initiative complements that direction. The MFC is steeped in tradition and recent decisions to embrace such a triumphant history only highlights the fact that our great story has been mothballed for far too long. There are always those that are critical of anything new, so unanimity on this issue is a pipe-dream, but in the main I think it will be well received.
