The Dave Matthews Band put out some decent stuff in the early 2000's but here's a couple from the mid 90's ...

There's any number of possible's this week ... including your Rams on Friday (our time) The Ravens, Seattle, Dallas, Miami, the Falcons & the Broncos all have decent claims too. I read somewhere that Bradford has bruising on the bone in his knee so he's very doubtful. Which means Tampa could be a real show as well.

JV has shot to an early lead in the tipping comp ... Dappa also picked up a big 2 points as well. Shouda gone for the Titans - shouda, couda, wouda. This week and next (weeks 3 & 4) we're playing for 1 point only but as you well know, every point counts. Wide open this week though ... just gotta get the right 3. Good luck! Remember - get ya tips in early. There's a few decent match-ups again but the pick of 'em might be the Falcons @ Detroit (early Sunday) SNF & MNF look the goods too. Thursday night is a big game for the Rams but the 49ers will be desperate for a win. Could be a close one. Leaderboard in the comp 3 - JV7 2 - Dappa Dan 1 - Go the Biff, Clintosaurus, Macca 0 - The rest

I just edited the my previous post but one way or the other, we'll find out about the audio feed on Sat night. With all these types of things, someone often provides some sort of a solution. I'm fairly resourceful these days but I still can't find a way to tune into the BBC's audio feed of the cricket. Test match sofa (Guerilla cricket) has to suffice.

Well through that link and through my laptop I listened in total or in part to about 4 or 5 different games (last weekend) Not through a phone or an app though. It's talksport.com not talksport.com.au or talksport.co.uk Come to think of it, the audio did cut out a few times last weekend but that happens from time to time anyway. When that happens I just go through the same process and get hold of the games. Anyways, I'll be watching our game on Sat evening and will try that audio link and probably post here on whether it works or not. One can always go searching for proxy's but I've never had any luck in that area getting hold of the BBC's Test match special

I've got your problem solved with regards to audio coverage of the EPL games GV ... you're right, forget EON Sports and go here ... www.talksport.com When you click on the link, run the cursor over 'Football' then in the drop-down display click on 'Live on TalkSport' and then follow the live links. The audio coverage will obviously only work when the games are on but in most cases, a preview of any game starts about a half an hour before kick-off. It definitely works because I've been listening to certain games periodically ... all the games have live radio coverage as well. I've also got Fetch TV so I can watch any of the games but failing that, you can still tune into the audio coverage. By the way, the coverage through Optus sports is absolutely first rate (especially 'Goal Rush', 'Fanzone', the review shows etc) ... but push them hard for a decent deal if you go down that track because they're in need of customers. And good luck this Saturday night (Go Hammers) ... the game is on SBS from 9.00pm.

Yeah Gorgo ... the Panthers have got a tough road schedule. You're probably right. Tampa might be decent though ... they're getting talked up.

A few observations ... Atlanta have bounced back and they're the team to beat in the NFC ... however, the Panthers might push the Falcons especially if they at least split their 2 games against Atlanta. Order is restored with the Pats doing it easy in the big easy The AFC West division could turn out to be a real battle - KC, Denver & Oakland all look the goods whilst the Chargers can play spoiler. Carr looks terrific and Reid's teams always compete well Baltimore could push the Steelers all the way in the AFC North. They look solid, Pittsburgh the same Jay Cutler gets a win for Miami - whooda-thunkit? The Rams drop a game they could easily have won ... the NFC West could be a tight division with Seattle not looking all that impressive either. Packers outplayed but again, the Falcons came out firing and full credit to them. The scoreboard flattered Green Bay in all honesty. The Cowboys came down to earth with a thud although playing in Denver is nearly always tough. Siemian continues to impress for the Broncos. For divisional purposes, I'm hoping that Eli & the Giants can get it done tomorrow.

We could do it Dappa ... maybe a designed system where we don't have to ever come back here and adjust our line-ups. Just pick our players, lock 'em in and see how it pans out. Here's a idea that I thought up ... we all pick 2 x QB's, 2 x WR's, 2 x RB's, 2 x Kickers, 2 x TE's & 2 x Defensive players. Bur then, we only count the fantasy score of 1 of each pair of players. This allows for injuries and such-like. Others might have better ideas but the above idea could take less than an hour for participants and that's the extent of the time needed. The time consuming bit would be for whoever runs it

Yep ... and such is the nature of divisional football, a team can win a division, get hot at the business end and win the whole thing. We've seen it happen with the Steelers, Giants, Packers and 1 or 2 others. For that reason alone, the sport is fascinating. It's like following 8 different leagues within the 1 big league. It's a great system.

NFL
Yep. Looking ahead, Houston might win their division if Watson is decent. They'd have a chance regardless as the AFC South is wide open.

Although Watson's rushing TD was quite impressive though. Don't know much about him but he looks like he can at least run well with the ball.

A number of the pundits reckon we need to see the how the teams are faring after 3 completed weeks ... however, even after week 1 there are a few teams who look like they've emerged or could threaten - Rams, Raiders, Vikings, Ravens, Panthers, Eagles & KC. The AFC South is up for grabs too. Conversely, there's a few identifiable poor performers already. The Colts look woeful without Luck and Cinci won't win games if their QB keeps getting QBR's of 0.6. The Jets & Cleveland could have long seasons ahead and the Giants will need to find some form quickly. Leaderboard in the comp 1 - JV7, Go the Biff, Clintosaurus, Macca 0 - The rest The Re-match of the NFC Championship (Packers @ Falcons) on SNF should be a beauty but there's a number of other excellent match-ups this week (Eagles @ KC, Pats @ Saints, Vikings @ Steelers, Dallas @ Denver, Washington @ Rams and then MNF - Detroit @ Giants) 2 points on offer in the comp this week. Arizona looks a monty but finding 2 other road winners might be tough going ... Here's Bill Simmons 'Guess the Lines' podcast as well (which may or may not help!)

Ended up watching extended highlights and the Chiefs were great. Alex Smith's best game? Kareem Hunt had some sort of game too.

I listened to the game (on & off) but that is an impressive win. They were saying that the Pats have only lost 6 home games in 10 years and only 1 of those 6 was an AFC team.
