  1. Iโ€™ve been saying it about Geelong for 79 years too ๐Ÿ˜ญ
  2. Turner superb. Especially in these rubbish conditions.
  3. What a soft free to give away in a close grand final.
  4. So many of the Southport players are actually ex AFL players or academy players with GC. They finished second because they have lots of talent and an endless amount of cash. Itโ€™s disrespectful to call them a team full of plumbers and electricians.
  5. Great kick from Toby I repeat, these umpires are a clown short of a circus.
  6. Are these umpires drunk?
  7. Chandler not taking first option has cost Casey twice.
  8. Well done. Weideman. Second effort JVR and great finish from Woewodin Weideman has to play ruck. Thereโ€™s no better position for him.
  9. Casey mids cannot get near it
  10. This umpiring is a complete joke
  11. Sharks look really switched on.
  12. And Geelong get no advantages of course ๐Ÿ˜‚ I understand that for the sake of your marriage you must pretend like you want Geelong to win.
  13. I suggest a lifetime ban for anyone who chooses Geelong as their preferred winner.
  14. Just here to say SUCK [censored] COLLINGWOOD! Poetic justice that you went out the way youโ€™ve won it all year. Now Sydney, for the love of god, do us a solid and smash Geelong next week.
  15. How we lost to that team last week is beyond me. Geelong got their grand final. Well done to the AFL and ol brother Scott for ensuring it happened. Hope they get smashed next week.
  16. Tom Browne is about as reliable as a wet paper bag in a sandwich shopโ€ฆ but Iโ€™ll take it!
  17. Gunston can play the Tmac role too. Would cost little. Iโ€™m all for it. We are in a wide open window. Experience and proven performances mean a lot.
  18. Lives with Jackson and Bedford. One is gone. The other is maybe gone too. Not ideal if heโ€™s already not loving Melbourne.
  19. Money. Opportunities to be embedded in the starting 22. Money. You need to remember that clubs like ours with a fairly strong and settled and young list is not going to be a good destination for young players on the fringe. Unless itโ€™s a specific role we are lacking or unless you are an established player like Grundy, or someone happy to fill a role to remain on a list (see Dunstan), the proposition of competing for a role in a strong club with an equally strong VFL side wonโ€™t appeal to most young players. We are in a phase of existence where we can target very specific players for very specific roles and promise them success. We donโ€™t need to throw the kitchen sink at every player out there. Itโ€™s a waste of time. I rather we target who we really need, like we have in the last few years (May, Lever, Langdon etc). One big key signing is much better than 3 random fringe players.
  20. We signed arguably the two best players in the competition for 7 years. We are a destination club for champions.
  21. Jackson is out of contract. Melbourne doesnโ€™t hold players against their will. Peter Bell doesnโ€™t run our list management. We are not stupid.
  22. Losing Kosi would be an absolute disaster. Not just because heโ€™s such a rare talent, but heโ€™s also remarkably marketable and a fan favourite. Gotta put a big deal in front of him and get it sorted asap. No issues giving him 5 years. Heโ€™s only 21.
  23. And has less competition for votes within his own team.
  24. I completely agree with your points, but I think we might feel like we will have enough list spots available and that Melksham for another year is better insurance than pick 90 in the draft.
  25. Yeah itโ€™s called tall poppy syndrome.
