  1. Or, and hear me out, he wants the best for the club and is just happy for us to accommodate a trade so he can move closer to home. He is contracted, means we hold the power. We won’t screw him over, and he won’t screw us over.
  2. The single biggest issue currently facing the club is that we have a leaky mouth amongst the ranks again!
  3. Also absolute LOL at everyone being sad when 90% of posters on this site have done nothing but heap [censored] on Nibbler for most of his career. Classic Demonland.
  4. It’s ok PF, Jefferson hasn’t left yet!
  5. Have you had a baby? Knowing you are having a baby and actually having a baby is very different. Maybe his wife is struggling, maybe the baby is not well, maybe he has sick family. Life happens and football is still a career for these guys. The timing only sucks because it gives everyone another reason to pile on the club. He is contracted and if we don’t want him to go, we won’t let him go. But given he’s been such an amazing clubman, if his reasons are genuine, and there is no reason to believe otherwise, I’m sure the club will accommodate his request. And for those who thinks he won’t get us much, are kidding themselves. He’s highly regarded by those who actually understand the game. Port could fix one of their biggest issues with him, which is their flaky defensive efforts!
  6. You know that as fact do you?
  7. It literally says it’s got nothing to do with it! He just had a baby. He and his wife are both from SA. It’s probably a genuine request to be closer to family. Not everything is a [censored] conspiracy against the club for goodness sake!
  8. True, but he also sustained a serious injury in round 0 (thru sheer bravery!) that saw him miss 2 months of football. His season never recovered.
  9. It's all about lifestyle, especially for younger players. You will never find a training location that will suit absolutely everyone, unless you are Geelong and all your players live in the same concentrated area. You will always have players who choose to live all over Melbourne, which is vast and full of gridlock traffic. Caulfield is not going to be any closer for Max Gawn, or Caleb Windsor (Lysterfield to Casey would be way quicker than Lysterfield to Caulfield), or Christian Petracca than AAMI is, but Caulfield is a stones throw away from like 10 cafes, and Gawny's favourite bakery. Whereas at Casey you need to get in the car and drive a good 15 minutes down to where I live which has a high street full of great cafes and restaurants.
  10. It’s definitely not mere speculation that Trac is upset about certain things. But it is absolutely mere speculation that he wants to leave. There is a very very long road between “disgruntled” and “I’m leaving”.
  11. May also lives down there and we have a number of players who are in the south east which would see them drive against traffic to Casey. By the way the drive from Bayside would take the same time if you get on the Peninsula Link. A lot less traffic. My best guess is that Casey fields is not surrounded by much and the players would rather have somewhere to go between or after training/meetings for a coffee etc.
  12. This. Trac doesn't need to say anything, because he has, wait for it, not said anything! He is fully entitled to have conversations with the club, both positive and negative. A player who is as competitive and as driven as him, would absolutely be disgruntled sitting on the sidelines and watching the slow-mo car crash that is our season. But at no point he has ever said or done anything to suggest he wants to leave the club. It was simply Morris getting info and putting 1+1 together and getting 98 because well, Morris.
  13. New banner done and dusted @Demonland
  14. I find it funny that so many of our players live on the Mornington Peninsula but hate driving to Casey. It’s a far easier drive from there to Casey than it is to AAMI.
  15. Well yes of course it’s not the tea lady and her dry biscuits 😂 But I think if his issue was with Goodwin, then that clown Morris would be all over it. When in fact Morris went out of his way to say Trac has no issues with the coach.
  16. Literally any number of people from the football manager to the high performance manager would have a significant impact on the direction and performance of the club, and on Trac's career. You think Trac only interacts with Goody and McQualter?
  17. The irony of course is that our fans are screaming the place down asking for everyone to be sacked, and yet they are upset that our players are voicing their own concerns. I highly doubt that Cripps has never had a go at Carlton, while Neale was out the door at Brisbane. You have leaders in every club who would be unhappy, just as you would have employees in every business who are unhappy when things are not going well. If these discussions were not leaked, we would be none the wiser, and this would be just another end of season review for a club that has missed finals.
  18. I thought this is exactly what he said, but maybe I read between the lines. I don't think anyone would have read that statement and thought "everything is peachy". It's very obvious that things are not great and we are working to certify the situation.
  19. Might not be a coach. Plenty of people in the football department who are not coaches you know.
  20. Because clubs are accountable to members, whereas journalists are only accountable to the sock they keep in their bedside table.
  21. What exactly did you want him to say? He didn't sugar coat the truth, and it's obvious there are issues at the club. You don't go from top 4 to bottom 6 if everything is sunshine and rainbows. At least they are trying to do something about it, and talking to our best players and leaders is a very good start. You'd be worried if everyone internally was happy and saw nothing that needed fixing wouldn't you? I would be annoyed if any of our leaders were happy about this season, or our coaches for that matter.
  22. Well you got your wish. Pert with what I think is a pretty good statement. Not sugar coating the disappointing season, clear that we are already reviewing what went wrong, and emphatic that Trac is going nowhere. Can't ask for much more right now. Of course the proof is always in the pudding.
  23. Yep a pretty obvious “we are talking to key players about improvements going forward and Trac is going nowhere”. We are doing the right thing reviewing where we are at and trying to leave no stone unturned in returning back to final contention. Cue the meltdowns that our club is falling apart and everyone is unhappy.
  24. How about we wait to read the statement first before having a meltdown?
