What a disappointing display after such dominance early in the season.

I have no idea WTAF your problem is with me, but feel free to ignore me as I have you in recent months. Max said absolutely nothing. In fact the media put the words "tough love" out there, Max said literally nothing except that we have a strong cultural foundation. WTF do you expect him to do or say in this instance? He went to the races and obviously they put a camera in front of his face. If he says no comment, the media would have a field day with that. Oh the captain is refusing to speak, Melbourne captain not standing by the club's culture etc etc You yourself called them grubs. They would leach onto anything, spoken or otherwise. Max is in a no win situation.

Oh yeah Max refusing to speak to the media would absolutely not result in more negative publicity for the club. The media loves to be ignored.

Even sadder, I was one of the OGs who migrated from the old platform and was a test user on this site when @Nasher was building it back in the day. He of course will deny this, but we are both much older and wiser now 😅

The problem is that some posters are happy to stay in the lane of only what is in the public domain, but many others don't. You've seen it, we've all seen it happen in every one of these threads. So unless you want to volunteer to monitor every one of these threads 24 hours a day 7 days a week, there is just no other way to prevent these conversations from steering into the wrong lane and getting Andy into trouble. I would rather not see Demonland have to close down, and I am sure you wouldn't want to see that happen either.

Schache or Grundy, the bottom line is, if Gawn nails his 2 gimme shots on goal we win. End of story.

Just to be clear, Andy aka @Demonland doesn’t owe anyone anything. He pays to run this site so that sad MFCSS suffering losers (like me 😂), can spend too long chatting about irrelevant things relating to our football club. He has a job and a family and a life outside of this forum, as do the rest of the volunteers who run this site (shocking I know!), and he shouldn’t have to take any risks to his livelihood or his personal lives to satisfy the need of busy bodies. If you want to discuss rumours, innuendos and highly contentious issues freely, go to BigFooty or better yet start your own discussion board. I’ll be sure to pop by and write loads of content with the words culture in it.

Also don't forget our poor culture. It's why Clarry and Trac are top 5 for votes but no Brownlow to show for it. Poor poor culture.

Well done to him and complete respect for coming back and rehabbing a seriously horrific back injury. The need to cut down ex players is really sad. He has worked his behind off to get a third opportunity and I wish him all the absolute best, even if I despise Freo and want to see them fail.

Where have I ever said that drugs aren’t a major issue? Of course they are. But let’s be realistic here, AFL players dabbling in cocaine is very different to people in regional communities who are addicted to hard drugs. Many many highly paid professionals, not just footballers, take recreational drugs. It’s definitely not great, but in most cases it also doesn’t result in hardcore addiction. That doesn’t mean it can’t or that we should applaud drug use, but it’s no different to alcohol. For some it’s a major issue and for some it’s not. I think you know very well that ALL clubs have players who partake in recreational drugs. My point is that no player would leave a club because of drug use, and naively walk into another thinking nobody there would touch the stuff. Don’t you think it’s curious that Adelaide was keen to get Oliver early on in the trade period, knowing very well he had issues? As for that Adelaide camp, well it ruined their club for a very long time. So it was a major major issue.

Of course it doesn’t make it right and I am not supporting nor condoning drug use. But to suggest Petty wants out because some of our players are doing drugs is ridiculous, when he would know full well that some Adelaide players would be too.

Worse than a camp where players reported downright racism? Worse than a captain yelling racist comments? Really? Recreational drug use is rife in AFL and basically any high paying industry. You think no Adelaide player touches the stuff? Come on!

Yep, the million dollars had absolutely nothing to do with it… and nothing has ever gone wrong for Adelaide. Squeaky clean culture 🙄😂

Tim Lamb next season for sure
