The first thing I looked at was when Collingwood play in round 23. I knew the AFL wouldn’t care about screwing us with a short break after an interstate trip. But precious Collingwood would never. Ours is arguably the match of the round, depending on how a few other current top 8 sides go.

Going off round 23, I reckon our game in round 24 vs Pies will be Friday or Saturday night.

No offense to our next two opponents, but I rather have injuries now than in September. JVR and Turner are both minor, and McAdams is a week away. Ben Brown seems to be in good form (goal kicking aside), and is a very solid replacement for Disco. Petty and TMac will need to do some ruck work to help Gawn out this week is my guess.

We have the fifth largest home ground attendance this year of any Vic club. Considering our membership numbers compared to the other 4 clubs, I am really not sure what the hell his problem is? We got almost as many people to the Geelong home game, than Carlton got the week later against us, and it was their home game! So stick that in your pipe and smoke it Zeeto.

Richmond have 4 flags to hang their hat on, but what in the sweet Jesus is happening at Norf? I never thought I’d see someone be worse than us under Neeld, but I think they have us covered 😧

It’ll be a cold day in hell when Fritta is not an automatic best 22. Did anyone actually watch the game? Fritta was moved onto Weitering in the second half and really curtailed his influence. He played a sacrificial role when it became obvious that Petty was not up for the task of drawing Weitering away from the contest. There is no better medium forward in the game. End of story. I would like to bring Woey into the 22. I love his ability to hit the contest and he’s a good user. Billings to sub for mine. He can make an impact but IMO we have better starting 22 options. If Salem is ready he will also be an automatic in, but unsure if they’ll risk him for a Perth trip post hammy. Also Chin is clearly struggling with his knee. I’d give him a well earned week off and give Kynan Brown a taste or even give Kolt another go in his home state. I wouldn’t take the Eagles at home lightly, but likewise think we can afford to try a few different things.

The guys who struggled most last night were ones with no pre season or injury interrupted seasons. Think Clarry, Bowey, Turner, Chin was very wobbly on his knee etc. No wonder 5 day breaks are so hated. It is a really big disadvantage in AFL. I don’t dislike Carlton for their players or coach, unlike Geelong. I just despise their arrogant, smug, crack smoking fans… except my best friend who is all those things except the last 😂
