  1. They change it regularly. There was one of Jonesy a while back. One of the coolest places in Melbourne!
  2. You're right, Max is definitely not good enough to play in this joke.
  3. I already have time off in September... overseas.... goddammit Melbourne!
  4. While I really feel for O'Mearas, this couldn't have happened to a better club... suck on it hard Hawthorn!
  5. Umpires will play a big role in this game, and it won't be in our favour. Just going in prepared for a one sided umpiring display.
  6. Will definitely finish top 5 Other contenders at this stage: Oliver, Jetta, Jones, Watts
  7. As I said, this is the least winnable game we have in 6 weeks. If we go into this underdone and risk serious injury, the long term effects will be season breaking.
  8. And because we are finally not playing like hot garbage and he deserves to enjoy that, not sit on the sidelines. So frustrating!
  9. Mother f'er re: Jones. 4-6 is the kiss of death!
  10. Have you seen West Coast's record away from home?
  11. Salem has been what we all knew he could be this year, if he only stayed injury free. Nobody I'd rather have the ball than him. His kicking is sublime and I love that he's taken his contested work and tackling up a notch. He's deceptively quick too.
  12. So much love for Carlton. They beat Gold Coast. Who cares?
  13. The whole MRP system is flawed. It gives those on the panel too much power to manipulate the numbers to suit whatever outcome they want. Deliberate, careless, reckless, high impact, low impact... what a joke. You can't try to streamline actions into neat little boxes. If they want to fix this mess they need an independent body that reviews each case and makes a decision and then brings down the punishment accordingly. As in every actual justice system. If you get king hit do you stand in front of a judge and plead reckless not intentional low impact? How are ex players even allowed on? It's such a biased joke!
  14. Buckley on Footy Classifieds is so bitter about us... said "they played a good 4 quarter game last week. They had to". Then went on to say "they are only a game ahead of the Dogs" Bitter Buckley. Bitter. I love it!
  15. But since everyone gets that bye leading into the finals, it's irrelevant.
  16. Channel 7 saying Jones will miss at least 2 weeks with a quad and showed Hibberd badly limping at recovery today. Watts sore.
  17. The MCG is a great stadium so you will get a good view from high up. But the atmosphere is not great. My suggestion is start up high and then move to level 1 to get the atmosphere and get into the fun of it. If it's a close match it will be particularly good. Should be maybe 40,000-45,000 people there so you won't have an issue finding a seat.
  18. I might be totally off but I know for a fact that Stringer left his partner of 10 years, a month after she had their second baby, in rather unpleasant circumstances. His ex partner and the kids are very close to JJ and still hang out. Might be some anger there between the two?
  19. Hi there and welcome. Sorry about all the haters on here, as a seasoned traveller myself and someone who has been to Russia, I can tell you that you'll love Melbourne. Not as beautiful as St Petersburg but much warmer! As the club offered you free General Admision ticket (you picked the right club!) you will be able to move around at say half time from level 1 GA to level 3 or behind the goals with cheer squad. You just won't be able to enter any reserved seating areas. Hope you enjoy the trip and the game and don't forget to yell out Go Dees!
  20. What I enjoyed most about this, is that Bugg wasn't even playing on JJ.
  21. He coached us for 10 years from memory, and never went on to coach anyone else, but was an assistant at West Coast until he got diagnosed with MND. He left because we weren't performing and our board thought it would be a good idea to hire a whole bunch of inexperienced coaches and spend the next 8 years being a miserable laughing stock (but seriously, we were struggling, the bulk of our senior players were retiring and it was time for a fresh start)
  22. We had two things go against us: 1. Most dominant team performance maybe ever by Essendon in 2000. Nobody would have beaten them that year, but I think had we played someone else we would have won 2. We were always a little short of stars / match winners. Yes we had Ox and Farmer and TJ, but they were all very inconsistent. I think we are now finally building a team that has enough "difference" players in it who will really stand up and deliver in finals, like Oliver, like Trac, like Hogan, like Gawn. Here is hoping for some sustained success for the next 5 years!!!
  23. Credit to Goodwin for not reading Demonland...
