Serious question, apart from the 56 North supporters, does anyone actually not despise North, their coach, their players, their song, their jumper, their irrelevance, their general existence in this world?

I was worried that it was too soon and too much pressure for Viney, and at the same time that it took away from Jones and all the wonderful hard work he has put in as captain. But for me it was NEVER ever about being unhappy with Viney as co-captain or doubting his credentials. I think we've all known from day one that he was captain material, so it wasn't a shock or a surprise. At the end of the day, the captains are voted in by their peers, not just the coaches. If the players respect Viney and want to follow his lead, then who the hell are we to judge? If every player at our club worked as hard or was as dedicated as him, we would be unbeatable.

First world problems! I remember the days when we were complaining about how easily we were being crushed by other teams.

Ummm slight difference in capacity 34,000 at Simmonds vs. 43,500 at Subiaco When the finals are in Perth, you are less likely to get supporters travelling to the game from interstate, but between two Victorian teams, you should expect both teams to be supported equally (within their membership base numbers) Besides, Geelong playing at the MCG is not like West Coast having to play interstate when they've earnt a home state final. Totally different.

Because their home ground capacity is not enough to accommodate a final crowd against another Victorian team. Last year Geelong played Hawthorn in week 1, and it was at the MCG, and then they played Sydney in the prelims, and that too was at the MCG. So why would it be different this year? Even against Sydney they were made to play at the MCG.

No way they can schedule a final between two Victorian teams at Kardinia Park, it would be an absolute outrage after we've waited 10 years, that 99% of us couldn't go to see our team play a final. Geelong should only get a final at Kardinia Park against an interstate team. Otherwise too bad so sad. They already have the most ridiculous home ground advantage in the competition.

Not true, Adelaide and Port have played finals recently, as have GWS, and the Dogs had a run before they won the flag last year. Apart from Jordan Lewis, Hibbo and Melksham (?), who has played finals in our side? I don't consider Jones in 2006, as that was basically a lifetime ago. Of course anything can happen in finals, we know that, but you have lots of teams inside the 8 who have recently played in finals, even grand finals. Edit: Vince has played finals, but so long ago!

It was a very disappointing turnout. Yes it was freezing, but no rain, and we are on the verge of finals playing one of our last home games of the year, with lots of stars returning to the side. I only got back in the country on Friday and could not wait to drag my jetlagged arse to the G. If you didn't come, you missed out!

From a selfish perspective I don't want us to finish top 4, as I'm not here for the prelim or grand final... but realistically our run home is very good. We only play one top 8 side, and we finish the year off at the G against pretty average teams who we should beat. We need to stay healthy and then anything is possible. I still think that if we make finals, our lack of experience will hurt us. But this season should be able to gaining that experience and carrying the momentum into the finals next year!

I defy anybody to ever suggest that Jetta isn't one of the toughest guys in the league, and the thought he would ever duck or look for a free is actually laughable. A less calm player, say I dunno Vince, would have turned around and belted that loser one and got himself suspended. Not Jetta, he just kept playing and beating that hack. What a champ!

Gray started on Jetta and quickly realised he ain't getting near the ball as long as he stayed on him. The irony is that Jetta giving him a bath meant he was pushed into the midfield, where he almost turned the game for them. Be less good Jetta, I say.

Why? Bernies career is coming to an end. Trenners is a lot younger than him and deserves his chance
