I have the same membership but 17 games and guaranteed finals tickets. $600 odd bucks this year. Still worth it.

Currently in Caulfield station it is overcast. No rain. Showers about 15 minutes ago but stopped now. Sky is grey. Dark. Humidity at 60%.

Port are shizen under any pressure and away from home. They are the biggest front runners in the comp. As much as I hate Essendon it is better for us if they beat Port. Firstly because of their 3-0 start but also because a win today takes pressure off Essendon and as we play them in 2 weeks, that’s a good thing. Think bigger picture!

I’m in Kuala Lumpur. I’ve had enough champagne to make me forget that I still have another 13 hours before I’m home, but not enough to make me appreciate that game of footy. At least I’ll be home with plenty of time to watch our game on Sunday. Can’t wait!

It’s been a very average season so far. Poor quality matches by the bucketloads each week. Stuck in the airport with a flight delay so I watched it, because what else do I have to do, and it was putrid. I actually fell asleep momentarily.

Every single time a player is going for goal and I whinge to my dad that he’s a terrible set shot, he nails it. It really is Murphy’s law.

Nope. He is hopeless and so is every player on our list currently aged 22 who hasn’t won a Brownlow. I say we need to bottom out and rebuild again.

Agreed that we should lift as this is a real challenge, and although the Hawks are not what they used to be, they are really a formidable opponent who has had the wood over us for years. Sure we won a game against them not long ago, but gees they’ve thrashed us too many times to count recently. If we actually play good footy for 4 quarters and don’t let them get a run on, I think we can win. But it’s been that long since we’ve played a complete game, I am far from confident.

Agreed. I think we need to give Pedo credit where it’s due. He was very good for us last year in very bad injury circumstances where we lost not 1 but 2 rucks. He is much better around the ground than as a stay at home forward where he is not tall enough or agile enough to really hurt you. He is pretty good overhead. With Gawn absolutely dominating, there is simply no need for Pedo, and while TMac is injured I would like Weids to be given a run of 3-4 games and see where he’s at. It’ll give us another target that will allow Hogan to play more midfield minutes, and it will give him a taste of AFL level again. Plus he can pinch hit in the ruck, a much better option than Harmes!

What sort of illness on a Thursday is so bad that the club rules you out of a Sunday afternoon game this early? Get some vitamin C in you!

So glad I got my reserved seat memberships. Worth every penny. Last year we rocked up at 5:30 and struggled to get seats as it wasn’t our home game. This time I can come an hour later and stroll straight through to my chair. If only we got to keep those seats in finals!
