Jones definitely will get another year. Deserves it too. I would like us to shop around one of Trac or Brayshaw. I love them both dearly but we need to actively chase some elite ball users that can play wings. Our current wing situation is woeful. Since we can’t (and shouldn’t anyway) trade our first round pick, the only way for us to get established talent is to trade established talent. We need to strike while our window is open and we won’t win a flag if we don’t get some elite users and some speed.

He was a valuable addition to a young team that needed to know what it takes to win. But the way he is going about it this season is a sad way to end such an illustrious career. He deserves a better end, but he really isn’t helping himself get it.

I don’t know what you base your hypothesis on, given he has played 2 games and been pretty serviceable in both before injury. He might absolutely suck, but right now I don’t know. I do know however that Spargo, Wagner, ANB, TMac and Garlett are all giving us SFA up forward. And on a side note, the more Gawn goes it alone, the greater the chances he gets injured and if he does, we are stuffed. With or without a developed backup (also we are stuffed regardless).

Heart breaking stuff. Put into perspective the issues Gus and KK have gone thru and I suppose will always go thru.

I doubt that’s what we sold Preuss who could easily get a game elsewhere. It doesn’t matter who we traded for him. If we didn’t intend to at least give him a go, we should have traded Tyson for something we desperately needed like maybe a small forward or some speed. Or a draft pick from North to package up. I just don’t understand why absolute spuds keep getting games but a guy we went out and got in a busy trade period last year is playing VFL. At least try him out. See if we can play 2 rucks. Christ it can’t be worse than the current situation where Max gets bruised every week and nobody in our forwardline can take a mark.

Unless he kicks 5 goals the result is still the same. But I still don’t know why we went out and recruited him when we don’t actually play him? Could have use that pick to get a decent crumber or some outside run instead and gone for another baby giraffe in the draft as ruck backup.

Wouldn’t have made a difference, but please can you explain to me why we traded for him when we refuse to play him?

Lots of teams have injuries. We are not alone. Yes we have a lot of injuries, but this entire season has shown us to be unprepared both physically and game plan wise. We are getting outcoached and have been figured out.

We didn’t and we also can’t as we have traded the last two and that’s the limit set by the AFL. We have to use our first round pick... on a slow unskilled inside mid. Thems the rules.

I love Hunt, but he is not a forward’s [censored] with that sort of kicking. Neither is Petracca.

They had 2 on the bench in the last. Kicking 7 goals in a dead quarter doesn’t change the result and if Goodwin uses it as a positive he is treating us all like fools.

Collingwood nearly won a flag with worse injuries. Richmond have a load of key injuries and are still winning games. Injuries are hurting us, but getting demolished by opposition coaches and our insipid ball use is hurting us more, and that’s coaching.

Thin ice for a lot of die hard fans like myself who just are fed up paying hundreds of dollars to watch absolute garbage. Goodwin is an uninspiring coach and a massive step back from Roos. First time the pressure has been on him and he nearly passed out at a press conference. He really isn’t coming thru as a coach I feel confident to push us thru this. Injuries happen. They’ve destroyed us, but we also came into the season with poor game plan planning and with no real structural move on from last season, despite rule changes and losing our key forward.
