What part of our performance is acceptable to you? The ball use? Our goal kicking? Our defensive effort? This is a team that we beat by 109 points a year ago. We will be lucky to win it 12 months on, and it’s not because Carlton has improved. In fact they are missing their best 3 players.

This goal kicking is not funny anymore. It is a serious mental problem that this club has ignored for too long.

Lose this and I don’t know what Goodwin will say post game.

Not going today. Frankly can’t be bothered anymore. I didn’t miss a game voluntarily under Bailey or Neeld or Roos. But I’m exhausted from this season. Gonna watch from home where I can turn it off and do something better if things go wrong as they have all season. Bring on 2020!

The best thing we’ve done all year was take Max off when the game was beyond reach.

I’m saying that during a game players make mistakes and you can’t go abusing your teammates every time they do. Having a chat about what your teammate did wrong at 3/4 time is fine. Being aggressive and being distracted from the play because of an argument with a teammate is probably not great leadership. I was happy enough to see May chat to Frost at 3/4 time but still not a great look that a teammate had to step in to separate them.

Unforgivably poor, but hardly surprising. Good players, terrible bloody leaders. Oliver had to step in and separate them, which tells me two things: 1. May was being too aggressive 2. Oliver is a brave man stepping between May and Frost

How do we replicate Salem so only a Salem kicks the footy at any point in the game?

I didn’t have a problem with the 3/4 time discussion. I have a problem with yelling at a player mid game for a mistake. He will spend the rest of his career yelling if he has a go at every Melbourne player who totally [censored] things up. It happens that bloody often!
