  1. They have only themselves to blame and frankly I couldn’t feel less sorry for them. They’ve had more time and a bigger surplus that any other state in Australia to sort themselves out. It sounds like they’ve done SFA to bolster their healthcare system.
  2. They’ve now named Nic Nat the number one players in the game last year 😂
  3. Jackson signing a new contract deserves a parade and fireworks. Not an announcement on a “live” feed that keeps dropping out
  4. Goodwin mentioned in the members brief tonight that they’re looking to continue our offensive improvement which obviously got better in the end part of 2021. The focus seems to be on getting bigger scores and increasing score board pressure, which a fit BB, a firing and confident Fritsch and a competitive battle between Tmac and Weid will absolutely help. Then you have Chandler and Bedford pushing for selection as well and guys like Oliver, Sparrow and Harmes increasing their focus on going forward and kicking goals. Oliver is capable of kicking 1-2 goals a game if he can work on his goal kicking accuracy.
  5. All I got out of the members brief on this before it froze and died is that Jackson’s contract “will sort itself out”. Whatever the hell that means.
  6. Keeps freezing. It’s incredibly annoying.
  7. Would be a silly move to sign for longer when we all know he will just get better. I am hoping Oliver signs a long term deal now that he's heading towards free agency.
  8. Yep and Dogs will still be without Bruce. Bad news for Petty. Hopefully 4-6 weeks means he won’t miss a heap of footy.
  9. Yet the AA FB playing in statistically the best defense ever recorded by champion data isn’t elite. Salem isn’t elite but Saad is?
  10. Hawthorn having more elite players than the premiers says it all.
  11. 100% would take in a heartbeat. He would thrive in our environment and have some really good role models in Brown and Tmac when it comes to professionalism. Zero pressure to come in and be the star and a perfect replacement for those two who aren’t getting any younger. Shame we have no cap space and I’m going to assume no draft picks to make this happen.
  12. May played with a torn hamstring. Why didn’t we postpone the game for that? I still can’t get over the nerve of this club. For goodness sake why didn’t you make late changes if you thought some of your players were too sick to play?
  13. I said it then and I'll say it now. Leaving Melbourne for Freo was always going to be a worse decision for Hogan than for the MFC. He went looking for something. What he should have gone looking for instead is the level of professionalism required to be an A grade footballer. Talent alone is never enough. His head, rightly or wrongly, was not in the game and not at the club. I wish him nothing but the absolute best on and off the field, but there is no doubt in my mind that he will never reach his full potential. He has definitely found the right club in GWS. Very little external pressure, no media focus in a non footy state, and a club filled to the bream with first round picks where Hogan is just another player.
  14. Trac did his ACL very early on and he's gone on to become a star. This is far from ideal, but setbacks early in the career of a very promising player rarely mean much down the track. If anything they teach you about resilience and recovery. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
  15. Lol at Viney arguing with the umpire. Never lose that anger Jack!
  16. AFL players get Covid tested regularly and would have been tested prior to entry and just after arrival into WA where they were locked away in a hub. It was never going to be Covid. All I hear from this club is whinging and crying.
  17. Or perhaps there would be no Tom McDonald. Hogan and Brown are very different players. Hogan plays best roaming further from goal. In all likelihood if he was still with us McDonald would have been traded and so would Weideman
  18. The two post season surgeries were minor tonsils and wisdom teeth removals. Not exactly surgeries that will impact on a player physically. I think that’s fair reporting.
