  1. I’ve waited 789 years for Geelong to drop dead.
  2. I’m very conflicted about tonight. On the one hand we have Collingwood going 3-0. On the other hand we have Geelong.
  3. The weather didn’t help. Horrible day to go outside.
  4. Last seen on Instagram wearing a mask and sitting on his bum watching the AFLW. He’s no chance. 4-6 weeks.
  5. Covid? Debut? 😂
  6. Well done girls. Keeping that Melbourne winning premierships dreams alive.
  7. If two years ago someone told you we’d be 3-0 to start 2022 after winning the flag in 2021, coming off 9 straight wins and not being in great form, missing Lever, Salem and some tall guy we got from North, you’d smack them in the face and tell them to get off the crack. Appreciate what you have in this team please!
  8. Close contact iso period is 6 days not 7 as far as I know. And apparently he was a close contact starting yesterday. So he should be available and will 10000% play if he is, even if it means he flies in the morning of the game. It’s one hour. I’m sure he can survive. I can’t see us risking Lever.
  9. Anyone who was at the ground yesterday could see how aggressively Essendon was flooding our forward half. Their strategy was clear, stop us scoring so they stay in the game long enough to maybe attack and win the game. To their credit it worked, and our pathetic goal kicking certainly helped. They opened up the play in the second half and got some good clearances, which coincided with Gawn going into the middle. That helped them isolate Wright 1-1 who is not only hard to stop but who is a very good kick. May was doing really well in the first half when the game was a defensive slog, but when you let opposition waltz out the front of the clearance you can’t stop their big forwards from marking. Overall you could see we are a class above. We played in small patches and just destroyed them with ball use. If we kick straight the game is done at 1/4 time. But because we are conserving energy we powered ourselves on for small patches to secure the win and take the wind out of their sails just when they thought they had a sniff. We are not at our best and clearly nowhere near the same fitness level as this time last year. But professional quality sides make things happen and we keep making wins happen.
  10. Please don’t sack Hinkley before Thursday Port.
  11. why would Goodwin tell the world Trac is hurt?
  12. So? He can train at home. He can fly in the morning for a night game. Zero chance he won’t play if he’s allowed to. Ben Brown after a week of iso is still better than Tom McDonald. In: Brown Out: McDonald
  13. Was not a happy boy on the bench. I think he’s definitely carrying something.
  14. We played at Melbourne level for 10 minutes and won by 28. Can’t really ask for much more. We are just going and banking those points while playing very average footy. If that’s not the sign of a good team what is? And we won with little output from Trac. Clarry, Langdon and Gus superb. Jackson is a game shifter. When he goes in the middle we get on top. He has to take more centre bounces. Gawn is just too predictable in there where’s Jackson gets his own ball. He’s a wonder that boy. Well done Weideman for taking his chances. There is SO much improvement to come which given we are 3-0 is bloody exciting.
  15. Our form is not it. Let’s get this win and move on.
  16. We are playing professional football until we line up for goal. Fix goal kicking and it’ll be a nice game.
  17. Train is quite busy if that helps. I doubt we will get less than 50,000 unless Essendon fans have all [censored] the bed.
  18. But if Dogga and Gawn need to take the forward ruck contest they are much less likely to influence as goal scorers. I think if Weideman is giving us donuts as a forward he can play some minutes in the ruck and it allows Gawn or Jackson to actually play at FF. If either is at FF then they aren’t going to be able to ruck.
  19. Isn’t it too early?
  20. Everyone complaining that Weideman is in over Mitch Brown need to remember one thing, Weideman can ruck and ruck quite well. Playing him means Gawn or Jackson can play forward when not taking the ruck work in the middle, which means we don't lose the height advantage of Ben Brown bringing the ball to ground. I understand Mitch Brown was very good last week for Casey, but he's got no future at the club, he is a good ordinary VFL player and is emergency backup only. We just signed Weideman for another 2 years. If we don't play him now, what is even the point of having him on the list?
  21. Hopefully Brown was a close contact before today so he can return for the Port game.... of course hoping he doesn't get Covid is the main priority.
  22. Oh bloody hell. Danger game just got more dangerous. Thankfully its Covid related and not an injury.
  23. Feeling uneasy about this game. We are on a 9 game winning streak, we are not in the best form (which is totally fine for round 3, it’s a long season), we are carrying injuries and Essendon are trash. This can only mean one thing… we could be complacent and lose. If we are at 80% output or more we win and win well. They’ll struggle to kick a big score. But they will also be fired up and desperate to win. If we aren’t on our game for long enough they could win, and while we are bound to drop a game soon, I really really really don’t want it to be to those drug cheating a-holes.
