West Coast to their credit are trying hard and defensively working their [censored] off. Theyâll still lose by 100 points.

NON-MFC: Round 8, 2022
The only thing the Dogs have been freed from since the Grand Final, is the ability to win.

COVID Disruptions 2022
I feel for WC, but then again, most of this comes down to the policy of the WA government. Covid was always going to hit them hard eventually.

Low Attendance
We are going to the footy then taking mum out for dinner. Most mums would rather you go to the footy then find a babysitter and take her out for dinner. Youâd be surprised how sick mothers are of their children đ

Are people really upset that Tmac kicked a goal after the siren in the GF? What the actual [censored]?!

2022 List and Contract Details
Gawn will play well into his 30s (unless he gets a bad injury- heaven forbid!), but the rest have all had injury woes in the past and will start to drop off in a season or two. Itâs also why we need to keep Jackson.

Hawks on the Slide: How Mitchell is making life hard for himself
Happy to be the vice principle. I also can't stand them. Their whole "woe is me" attitude while cheating their way through games is infuriating.

What They Are Saying at Moorabbin
I hope Petty is right to play this week. He is the perfect matchup for King. I think May takes Membrey so he can help us peel off and give Petty a hand. This will be a really good game. I expect it to be close, as Saints have played some great footy. I think our midfield will outclass them, and I hope our forwardline connection finally improves because we can push their defence if we just kick better going inside 50. Maybe just maybe, our players finally going up against a top 4 side, will come out interested in playing a full game instead of toying with the opposition for 15 minutes. We all know that when we are at our best, nobody is better than us. Will be so interesting as well to see if Saints play their natural game and go head to head, or if they go defensive and try to shut us down like so many other sides have done.

Nobody hates Geelong like I hate Geelong.

Farewell Luke Jackson
And exactly the same can be said to Jackson who is thriving playing second fiddle to the best ruckman in the competition who is also supremely fit. If Jackson goes to West Coast, the pressure to replace NicNat, who is on his last legs and can barely run out a game let alone a season, will be enormous. Can Jackson even handle being a number one ruckman right now, let alone fill the enormous shoes of the cult figure that is NicNat? English is a lot more mature and developed, both physically and from an experience point of view. He is already a number one ruck so will be able to take to the role very naturally. For Jackson that will be a massive ask.

2022 Injury List
Smith can't take a trick, his body doesn't seem to be capable of playing consistent AFL football. He is always injured. Poor guy. I wonder what is going on with Hibbo. Is he done with that calf do we think?

Christian Salem - Straight back to the backline or something different?
Salem is a top 5 half back in the league. Straight back into the role.

What They Are Saying at Moorabbin
I take nothing away from anyone we played. But I donât think so far weâve played anyone who is a serious contender. Saints could be a serious contender. All credit to Hawthorn but if we donât lose 5 players to Covid during week and a defender during the game we win by 6+ goals. We ran out of gas in the last and had a poor defensive week missing some really key players. We did extremely well to win. Most other teams would not have, especially doing what weâve done all year and playing 15 blistering minutes then parking the bus. It worked against Hawthorn but it wonât against the Saints.

What They Are Saying at Moorabbin
Apart from Round 1, this is our first real challenge for the season. This is not a game we can just cruise along in and play a sensational 15 minute burst in the third quarter and win. If we go in flat, and underdone due to Covid then I think the Saints will win it.

2022 Free Kick Differential
FMD the Dogs. What a joke.

CHANGES : Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
Trac has every right to be selfish. Heâs a superstar and a game changer. He turned a grand final off his own boot basically. But he is also very team focused and absolutely gets other teammates involved. Tmac even said post game on Fox that he hasnât been playing great and wanted to kick a few goals regarding the Harmes goal that he marked. Yes he was making a joke but I am sure there is a lot of truth to it. I felt his desperation to impress, but sadly that did result in selfish behavior which is a big no no at Melbourne.

CHANGES : Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
Viney didnât train this week and he played. ANB has elite fitness and is extremely important to us. If he is feeling ok I reckon he plays. Of all the players who missed this week, he and Petty are the least replaceable. It would also be good to have Jackson come in as Ryder is in good form and our two ruck combo gives us the edge over them. I would also dearly love Sparrow back. He covers so much ground and is streets ahead of Dunstan.

When was the last time you watched Melbourne lose?
Same. We left that game and I remember saying âwell at least if the grand final isnât in Melbourne due to Covid we wonât miss out on seeing our team winâ.

NON-MFC: Round 07, 2022
I donât get the love for the Dogs. They hate pressure. They beat up on nothing sides and havenât improved a single issue theyâve had last year, primarily their defense which is god awful. Brisbane will absolutely challenge us. They have the only forwardline that will really push our defense. A strong midfield and a good defense. Freo are another one I reckon could really challenge us. St Kilda donât have enough talent IMO but we will know more next week.
