  1. Smith is not reliable enough in the backline. He causes panic. We look way better when Hibbo was in there. He totally blanketed Martin. Smith is a high impact low possession player with versatility. He’s a perfect sub.
  2. Did a sensational job did JVR. He’s a kid being asked to play the main key forward role. He kicks those two goals and he has as good a game at Curnow. He’s really impressing me. His attack on the ball and follow up work at ground level is fantastic. An absolute star in the making.
  3. I agree re Grundy JVR is a fine second ruck. Problem is, that without a second tall forward, when he goes in the ruck Max has to rest forward or we have to play a forwardline of smalls. It’s not going to work. We have to bring in a second tall. Shache is awfully soft but maybe he comes in and plays the second ruck role? I dunno anymore.
  4. He doesn’t need to be the Tmac of old. If he can run a game out and compete in the air, that’ll do. He understands forward patterns and leading. Assuming his foot injury hasn’t impacted his ability to take a mark or halve an aerial contest. That’s all he needs to do. Much like BBB, we just need one of them to find enough juice to play 6 games at ok pace for 120 minutes.
  5. We were so terrible we technically won
  6. Lots of mouthy Carlton clowns who sacked Voss and microwaved their membership cards two months ago. All class as usual from the Blue baggers.
  7. ARC technology. Proudly filmed by a Soviet 1935 submarine. Best in the game.
  8. Lions lose to Pies next week and it’s back down to percentage again if we win.
  9. Congratulations. Your team lost. Crack open the champagne.
  10. A finals like game. We had another gear in us but we never got it going. We can play better. But we have to get this side settled now. Enough with the shuffling of defenders and enough with the Grawndy experiment. Clarry better for the run and hopefully the mids start humming again. They were very average tonight, except Gus who was sensational and worked his guts out.
  11. If Tmac does anything tomorrow resembling anything mildly decent, he needs to play. That is if he can run a game of AFL out (can always sub him off for Smith in the last?) Grundy is a no. JJ is a no. I would bring in Tmac or BB if either can break into a mild jog, and bring in another small forward to up the forward pressure and give us more at ground level. Spargo if he has a decent game or perhaps AWM? A bit left field but we need to resuscitate the forwardline. Again. Petty 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Edit: Hibbo has to play from now until the end of September. He is built for finals. Smith is too much of an unreliable defender.
  12. HOW THE [censored] WAS THAT NOT A FREE TO JVR? I hate the AFL.
  13. A disastrous day of AFL results. To the bin with this day.
  14. How is that a question? Such a dangerous thing to do!
  15. He had an absolute mare. One of his worst games.
  16. Yep that’s what I’m saying. A disgraceful non call that would have been paid to Curnow every day of the week. In a contest this tight and close, the umpires [censored] up not once but twice to ruin the match. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, If Melbourne folded tomorrow I would never watch AFL game. A pathetic amateur competition run by corrupt halfwits.
  17. Like the non call on JVR for a trip? You’re right. Umpires had plenty of chances to not try and get Carlton a win.
  18. [censored] I hate Carlton. The bunch of meth heads around me could barely string a sentence together.
  19. What about the non free to JVR for a clear trip/ taking the legs out? Do we need a review of that?
  20. Clarry on the bench to start the last quarter cost us that game. So stupid.
  21. You gotta be kidding with this comparison. We came from 42 points down to win the minor premiership. [censored] off with this comparison!
  22. I mean the entire internet is saying it wasn’t touched. Including every opposition fan that doesn’t barrack for Carlton so šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø Also how is JVR getting his legs taken out for no free.
  23. The Carlton defender certainly didn’t seem to plead his case.
  24. Carlton fans celebrating like they won a flag I guess when you’re a club that’s been on the bottom for 20 years this is like a flag for you.
  25. I sat behind the goals. IT WAS NOT TOUCHED AFL loves to see this pack of wild animals make finals. Good for rating. Disgraceful.
