I think it’s to be expected from a kid in his first full year of senior footy. It’s a very demanding role even for mature bodies.

JVR was quite good as second ruck IMO, especially given he had limited training in the role. With more training during pre season under Gawn he could get better. It’s more what happens if Gawn is injured for me. I would look at a mature age recruit who can just bash and crash as needed. A warm body if you will to smash a knee into Cox when required.

Perhaps we are not interested in spending money and picks on good ordinary footballers and have better targets in mind. Be it this year or next.
