Cleary a mindset thing. Can’t tell me anything different. Played like we thought the win would just eventually come. 

One team came out & played as a team & the other came out hoping someone else would do the hard work to get them over the line. 

Serious teams don’t come out & lose to teams at the other end of the scale like tonight.

Because we are a serious team, right?

We play the way we do because we don’t have cattle to play a more expansive game. Defend, defend, defend until you bore the other team to oblivion is what we’re about. Most uninspiring game plan.

Bailey Fritsch was embarrassing tonight. Another game where he wasn’t committed to the defensive side of the game when that’s the DNA of our team - Contest & Defence.
 

Pretending to tackle by throwing an arm out, no intent to apply pressure, constantly playing out the back & behind he’s opponent. But look out when there’s a chance to kick a snag! Ffs… Glad Goody benched him after that laconic effort late in the 4th.

 
I love Fritsch & the clinical forward brilliance of the man, but you have to apply more defensive intent when it’s your time to go.

Yeah it’ll be chili tonight FTB, but there’ll be no rain. Would be pretty sad if people are turned off by the cooler conditions. Should be a ripping night of footy. If anything, it’ll be the poor form of the tiges that will have the crowd a bit unders tonight.

Soligo got up straight away, no signs of concussion & played on without any issue. Impact wasn’t severe enough for mine.

But because it’s Kozz, no doubt they’ll suspend him for a week. Melbs must challenge.

Poor kicking performance so far from Riv. Turned it over with his last 3 kicks.

Just another reminder as to how far this club has come. Another night to open proceedings with the eyes of the entire footy nation upon us.
