  1. Despite what his team mates or his team Docs say? Weight of number shifts when people fess up.
  2. from AFL website. Sounds like he's had great treatment. Now its rehab time. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/144140/default.aspx
  3. and 5 out of 4 people don't understand maths...
  4. Inflicted the worst loss of his coaching career. Perhaps hastened his downfall???
  5. Good post JC. Balanced and insightful.
  6. Ahhhh, the optimism of youth! I like it YDE. Don't let the bastards grind your energy down!
  7. No. He showed really poor taste for all the reasons that many other posters have brought up in this thread. FWIW Cale is contracted in '13 and, given his shoulder injury, is unlikely to be sought after during trade time
  8. I'm guessing (read: hoping) that Viney, Harrington, et al have workshopped this extensively and have a strategy worked out I may get canned for this, but do we want to be giving away the best JV plans by putting them in the public domain for GWS, GC and Dimwitreou to see?
  9. Quality post. Thanks for your thoughtful insight.
  10. ??? Are we playing GWS twice in the remaining rounds?
  11. Yes. There's no doubt that Neeld has had the toughest introduction to senior coaching possible (so far). And if it is true that what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, then perhaps we'll have a lot to look forward to. I can't remember which ex player/coach said it (Roos? Wallace?), but if we trade well, pick up some wise FAs and select the best draft youngsters, we could turn around quickly. Perhaps we are only a half doz key players and 12 mths away from finals footy??? IMO we have a good coaching team, good facilities and no debt. Neeld will get the best out of the players, but it will take longer than one season. Edit: spel.
  12. And I want to know (but I'm a bit scared to ask) if there is a leash on that collar of yours, BBO...
  13. Not that that's a compliment. Andrew Krakouer would be leading our goal kicking if he were a Dee. Edit: spell.
  14. Many seem to think Moloney may be gone elsewhere next year. And perhaps even Silvia. If that eventuates, we will be soooooooooo short on experience and leadership. Big vacuum to fill (unless, of course, we pick up some as FA's). Losing Green as well would be too much. My guess is that the decision will be made when trade/draft directions solidify.
  15. No thank you. All the best.
  16. So was Junior. Unless we get a suitably experienced leader from elsewhere, I'd like him to stay for one more year. Perhaps he won't get many games in '13, but we need experience and he'd be on the vets list.
  17. Shannon Noll? That's a worry...
  18. Of course...
  19. No. That is near impossible to prove as a certain fact, unless they state publicly that they are doing it to shaft us (as opposed to nominating JV because the say they want him). Whereas us talking to clubs about a deal before a draft with the express purpose of manipulating picks would be clear draft tampering. I'm guessing that bitter 'n twisted Sheepy would dob on us if we attempted this.
  20. Nice reply, angry one.
  21. Ok. Cheers. Second?? When was the first and how do you know, given its supposedly confidential?
  22. Nor did he indicate that he didn't know he was injured. If he knew it wasn't the right thing to do, that indicates that (in the second qtr) a sub must have been because of an injury. But I expect ignorance to the injury will now be claimed. Edit: spelin'
  23. Chip s good at this as well. Tom may be learning off others. Now to improve his disposal skills. It will happen. Great pick and shows that determination and guts sometimes is worth more than potential and reputation
