Have you been taking stuie-pills Steve?
-
No thanks. Just another dumped ranga.
-
Massive irony.
-
Or simply he was intent on leading us on

Selective quoting is bad form Stu. You're better than that, surely? Where did I say Hibbert and Lewis were competing for a rookie spot with Green? You are making crapp up once again in a straw man arguement. Once again just for you, and read slowly now, I said I preferred the speed traits they had to the speed traits of a player who has foot speed but slow decision making speed. Geezus! Gotta laugh at a guy who nonchalantly "throws it out there" for discussion then shouts down anyone who doesn't agree with him. Kind of sad, but not unexpected. Keep going if you like. I CBF

Didn't say they were Stu. Putting words into other's mouths, as usual. I used their strengths as an example of effective speed as opposed to a guy with leg speed and slow decision making speed. You "throw it out there" and then shout down anyone whose view differs from yours. Righto then. Please put me back on ignore and resist stalking.

I've watched a few games where Green played. He has foot speed and knows where the goals are, but his decision making and delivery are slow. We need speed, but I'd much prefer the speed created by accurate, penetrating disposal (Hibbert and Lewis) to the foot speed of a guy who I watched stop-and-prop a lot and then struggle to hit a target. AND he thinks he's worth $500k! I'll back the FD, but hope he's not in our plans.

Bingo. He wasn't on the tester's radar at that moment. But the fact he was hiding in the event he was to be tested will be looked at very harshly. Blaming ASADA for this situation is unfounded and simplistic.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JORDAN LEWIS

So Tom Scully isn't a liar, then??? -
Think his time as an AFL footballer is up. Time for him to move on, me thinks.
-
Would've thought he'd be a required player at Freo. Has his body packed it in? Only a couple of years ago he was a gun. Not sure he fits our plans, but he should get an AFL gig somewhere.
-
Well spotted you. We need a sarcasm font

I wouldn't mind if the average wage in my industry was $278k. And I'd love to get around $500k pa without performing very well. But alas...

The maths is the easy part. The hard bit is winning 3 flags on the trot and becoming the top destination club in the comp. (no disrespect to anyone with a PhD in maths )

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - PATRICK MCKENNA
Moonshadow replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
Still a fair bit of of money for a recruiting scout dc. Haven't read the article, but I'm guessing he's part time too. As an aside, the AFL made the ruling and IMO they should stick with it for the length of time he works at the club. That GWS were required to put Phil Scully's wage within the club's total player payment shows AFL acknowledgement of corruption at their pet club. -
WTF is the difference? Seriously, you are splitting very small hairs. Whatever the reason he wasn't up to it. End of story. The rest of it is beside the point.

Love a [censored]'s plate. All time fave.
-
Not sure if true, but I heard today from a Brisbane supporting friend who claims connections that they might be interested in rookie listing him.
-
I disagree, but no problems. I think that if Fyfe had a further injury interupted year in 2017 and Freo finished last or 2nd last, it makes it far less certain. If they were offered pick 2 or 3 as compo, and he wanted out, it would be a no brainer. Going into a strong draft with picks 1/2 or 2/3 with big salary cap space is tempting for trade bait or to pick the best in draft.
-
Cheers to you Lynden. All the best.
-
Compelling case... for the third time. You said Freo would match a RFA offer on Fyfe. How many RFAs have had offers matched? There's every chance they'd let him go if they got pick 2 or 3 as compo in a strong draft. The bigger question is 'would he leave for us?'
-
Watts shouldn't be rucking. Too valuable. Dawes stays at Casey, if he even stays on our list at all. Spencer is insurance on Gawn Pedo is a KPF/relief ruck on yearly contract. Honest toiler. If you cannot see that we need to develop another ruck beyond the two Kings, then try opening your eyes.
-
Repeating yourself does not make it so. Some beg to differ. Should he have hamstring issues in 2017 and not play many games, or knee soreness or something else related to his leg breaks his best value to Freo may be in FA compo. IF they finish bottom 4 and get round one compo, that gives them, say, pick 4 & 5 (or maybe pick 1 & 2 if they win the spoon) in a strong draft year, not to mention substantial SC relief. Not a bad result, I'd say. Suddenly your zero chance becomes a reasonable possibility. All hypothetical, of course.

I would sooooooooooooo love to see the Hawks miss out on getting OMeara. That would make my day... my week, in fact. Unfortunately the Bombers may get him, should Haw not. Much better for him to re-sign with the Suns.
-
How many RFAs have had their offers matched? if Freo have a similar year, and choose not to match, they'll get another top 5 pick as compo in a high quality draft year. Not bad for a guy that's had 2 broken legs.
