  1. The SA league has a 'last clear kick or handball out' rule. Not off hands or body or in a contest. I like it with the tweak that opponents can't deliberately let the ball go over when they could've kept it in, such as we've seen in the AFL
  2. Might be the beginning of the decline for Crows. Well I'm running with that thought anyway...
  3. Adelaide will not win from here. I'd go as far as to say 12 goal win to Norf. Having said that, it'd be nice for Crows to fight back in the wet and be knackered next week against us
  4. Geez Louise! Hard to see crows coming back from that effort
  5. Roos: "If you look at GWS and Melbourne they have more depth. Melbourne has Lewis and Hogan out but still has talent in reserves like Kent and Brayshaw," Roos said. "They haven't got a marquee that gobbles up a lot of the salary cap. Whoever goes after Fyfe if he does leave Freo will have the same problem." We will likely have a similar problem retaining our stars as they reach their peak. eg. Hogan, Clary
  6. Not really matt. Ran a lot though. Been running since he left us
  7. Stupid Saints supporters yelling "ball!" en mass every time a GWS player grabs the ball, even when they haven't been tackled.
  8. So what if Dusty, Fyfe or similar asked to come to us?
  9. Roos has written an article linking Swans decline with Buddy's signing. Got me thinking about the value of signing a big fish and questioning whether that would benefit our path forward. I've often bemoaned our lack of A graders, particularly in the midfield. We have some great young players coming through. Would we be better with Fyfe or Dusty or an A grade tall in 2018? Thoughts? http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/former-sydney-swans-coach-paul-roos-links-decline-to-buddy-franklins-signing-20170505-gvyzpj.html
  10. Maybe, I doubt Roos or Dunny would or should raise it out of respect for each other. However, it remains that he didn't play again despite some good form in the VFL. Just out of curiosity and not trying to link the two, but did Fitzy play seniors for us again after 'tunnelball'?
  11. Unfortunately for Dunny that torp may have been the final straw, as he did not play for us again despite some good form in the VFL. Other players make blunders, such as Bernie's kick out last week. But with Roos' defensive push on restricting oppo scoring, a low % torp after a behind flies in the face of what was being instilled in them at the time. There's a difference between a blunder and a player deliberately defying the game plan and set ups, resulting in a turn around goal. All players practice torps at training. It's a child-like urge to kick the leather off the ball and watch it spiral. There is a reason it's almost never done in a senior game. Look at the context of this one example rather than using all player blunders as a way of defending Dunny's mistake
  12. Apart from 'Land or Facebook, where are these rumours? Got a link P?
  13. I've always thought one on one is best for Dunny. He's not good with structures or zones and often played the percentages against his man only.
  14. Sounds more like Jacko. Only needs an "Oi!!"
  15. One swallow does not make a summer. He's played one game out of 6. Let's see how Lynden goes for the next 6 weeks. Wonder if he'll slam another torp out from the goal square against the coaches orders.
  16. That is an excellent question. If a club trades a pick 12 months in advance it is logical that they be expected to let the following year's FA compo slip to their next available pick. If you trade 1st and 2nd round picks for following year then a first round FA compo becomes 3rd round pick for that draft.
  17. Got a club link for those assumptions Wolf? I seem to recall Danger saying something about getting the best return for the Crows at his B&F speech before leaving. That was about it.
  18. Did Adelaide match Geelong's offer to Danger? They got a better deal by trading him but I wasn't aware an offer match was made. I thought it was more Danger wanting the best deal for Crows so the club's put their heads together. Another question, how many clubs have actually matched offers to RFAs?
