  1. Got to love the posters who demand we "move on" and stop discussing players breaking team rules on a discussion forum where the thread is about the fermented foursome breaking team rules! Lol
  2. Neita was on the Houli tribunal. Not sure if he will be this time.
  3. Clayton Oliver. Why not, we've had young captains in the past.
  4. Rod did not do that "every week". To claim so is a simply a romantic lie. Yes, it is not the 80's. Apart from that your post is bordering on an excuse for Bugg's action WYL. Stop looking for comparisons that are irrelevant except for the club and the game. Otherwise we'll be going back needlessly 150 years to find a 'winner' We need Bugg. He'll be out maybe 4-6 weeks for nadda. Or is it now ok for us to get a reference from the pm or a cleb?
  5. Every week? What bs. Wannabe excuse. So what's the point of relevance to Grinter? Like comparing apples and oranges. Bugg should get 5-6. Weeks where we needed him. That's all that matters.
  6. Worse than the Houli hit. Which one of you lame rrses who threatened to boo Houli will claim this is not as bad?
  7. Burnings? Burn one down for me too.
  8. Breath in. Breath out.... Then post.
  9. The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind.....
  10. Think they'll try and target Oliver or maybe Viney's shoulder. As long as they get support from team mates, they'll be fine. Would like Buggy to get in Mills' face.
  11. Haven't read through thread. Maybe I shouldn't. Trying to get my head around the system that permitted this this to happen... So... the AFL sets up a tribunal to consider what ban might be dished out. But when the AFL doesn't like the results of their own appointees, it appeals it's own system to get the result it wants. All the while splashing this over the press and broadcasting the hearing. Hmmmmm..... Houli employed whatever means he could to minimise his ban which any player would do, and has humbly accepted both times the result was conjured, expressing his concern for the player he injured. Is that right? Don't like the strike on the Richmond player, it was a cheap act, but I think Houli has handled himself well after both findings. Any fool who boos him has issues well beyond Houli's hit on the field.
  12. Just surprised David King can read and write. He served me a couple of times in years gone by at the hardware store next to Arden Street ground. Not the sharpest chisel, I must say.
  13. This is not the Mark Need era. The adults are in charge. Issues get worked through, not left to fester (apologies to Fester here)
  14. Interested to see how Hannan pulls up as well. And Max after his first game back. Cheers to the watchers
  15. Would find it difficult to believe the handling of this preseason injury would be the trigger for him to leave a club on the brink of success. Surely we are now professionally run that Mac and Goody would sit down with him and work it out. Or at least do 10 rounds in the ring and slug it out. IF he were to want out I have no doubt that we would get good value for him. But if I were a recruiter at an oppo club I'd first ask myself why a high draft pick would leave the 2 clubs likely to be the most successful over the next decade. What would that say of him?
  16. Ex Bulldogs VFL. Has played with St Bernards OB too i believe. Western Bulldogs keep an eye on some of them and have a few training at Whitten Oval Very good below his knees. Reads play well. Can take a good grab as well.
  17. Has some unproven potential. 1 year is as much as should be expected. Neeld would've given him 3.
  18. Still go a fair bit of strength to gain too. Imagine him with 2 more preseasons. Scary.
  19. What's the bet some [censored] journo such as Robbo or Purple find a gushingly unrealistic post on here to quote and have a laugh at: "Typical Melbourne supporter thinks they've got it in the bag!" Patience grasshopper.
  20. Getting 500 miles ahead of ourselves. Let's make the finals first. We win 4 games in a row and suddenly there's talk of prelims and premiership. We are 2 wins above Freo in 12th. It's great that we are winning but it's way too early. I'm excited, but have seen many false dawns over the years. Remember Vossy saying 10 or 12 years ago we'd win a flag in the next few years? People here wet themselves en mass. I know I did.
  21. Does Carrie wear a mouthguard? Doesn't look like it. If he wants to keep his bucky beavers he should wear one as he's only going to get more and more attention. Clearly there's contact from elbow to jaw. But the reaction was OTT. Carrie would've taken harder hits from his mum. He's young. No big deal. Nothing to see here.
  22. Improving nicely. He and Pig are good pick ups. Anyone like to trade them back for a couple of 2nd round picks?
  23. I earnestly wait for the day, like Geelong Hawthorn Sydney and even Collingwood fans, where we refuse to consider the rear view mirror, where we look to our new victories and opportunities and expect rather than wish. Even Bulldog fans have a new found enthusiasm for what lies ahead. Maybe the change lies with us, a conscious group effort to kick the black cat (thanks McQueen) and stop wallowing in the swamp of poo that we previously enjoyed doing backstroke in. It's time for the new world order where power clubs are challenged, where the MFC rises to a position to genuinely say, "why not us?" and deliver upon the promise held. Salutè! (Obviously had a few....)
