So you are happy that we all go back into Stage 3 or 4 lockdown every time there are a series of breakouts and our health and hospital systems can't manage the workload and they are getting covid. Hospital wards close and fewer and fewer non covid procedures are carried out. Shops close, schools close, restaurants close, no concerts, football, cinemas etc etc.
I truly hope that you and your family do not get this wretched virus, are not one of the frontline workers or someone who will lose their job or lose their business because of the lockdowns.
One way or another everyone suffers from outbreaks.
Won't happen? Look at New Zealand. No cases for 3 months then within a week there are a hundred cases and Auckland goes into lockdown. Not sure they yet know how this 'patient zero' caught it.
Lockdowns will continue until there is widespread vaccination.
It isn't about protecting you. Its about protecting everyone around you that you might infect.
Well Sweden may have been right all along. It will take until April/May next year to find out.
How do we know there will ever be a vaccine ? A continuous state of lockdowns !!!!! That will never work.

So in the last 3 games we have played the 2 worst in the comp and the filth who were badly depleted. Tmrw we play an inconsistent but a capable side so winning this will give us some better impotus for the rest of the season. Losing it will mean the previous 3 weeks were a dream.
On the side I can understand no changes but why is tomlinson still playing. Against a quicker running side like the dogs I would give Rivers a run.

If he's playing it generally means we've hit an injury crisis.
With that being said the club is going to have to be careful with the Freo game in Cairns off a 4 day break, so perhaps he might get a gig in that game if multiple defenders like Hibberd, Lockhart and Rivers need a rest.
Don't underestimate freo.

12 months later at the same ground didn't end so well.
The late S Clark had a set shot for goal after the siren with half the Essendon membership base on the ground to put him off. Alas he didn't make the distance and we lost by 6 points.
I remember that one as well. It was a decent torp by clark that landed in the goal square I think.
Also remember being 47 points up on them after I think Tony Sullivan kicked a goal for us in the first minute of the last quarter and losing by a few points. Those arsehles Kickett and Wanganeen ruined my day.

That was 1 day as an MFC supporter I will never forget. I went and stood in the Essendon members area with my boss who was a mad dons supporter. It was right where jimmy and I think Salmon had a stoush on the fenceline. When the siren went I snuck off pretty quickly as the druggos were mad as hell. Never said a word to the boss either as I might of got the sack at a footy ground on a saturday.

And people on here criticise his kicking! Posters will dig up his mistakes this year but in the big picture he is a rock in his position and gives us good drive from d50.
Greatly underrated on this site.
Could not agree more. I have always regarded Salem as one of our best players. The criticism he gets here is somewhat mystefying and the same could be said about Brayshaw. All players have highs and lows in their careers.
