Thanks all for your comments/concerns (?). My name is actually St John (pronounced Sin-gen) Lascelles Mustafa Nguyen-Smith III. If I was playing AFL, I'm not sure that the commentators would call me by my full name. Interestingly, I recall Neal-Bullen being called Bullen. It's the opposite of the abhorent behaviour which I have been calling out. PS. Don't think this is over !!!

Allow me to continue with my obsession re commentators selectively calling certain players by their first + last names ... Harris Andrews, Harris Andrews, Harris Andrews .... As previously noted, they do it more with players with first names that are more like surnames. Thank you for your interest.

There is only one Davey out there. Why do the commentators insist on naming him 'Alwyn Davey Jnr' every time? There's only one player with the surname Davey out there. Thankfully he didn't feature much in the play. And don't get me started on 'Bobby Hill' !!! Had a good laugh at Stringer's/De Goey's expense. Two top class gents. Stringer caught De Goey HTB. De Goey then gave away a 50 metre penalty. Stringer then coolly slotted a point.

Going back to the filth match, why did the commentators insist on calling Hill "Bobby Hill" when he was the only player on the ground with that surname? They did it EVERY TIME he got the ball, well other than the 2 times (in a row) that Der-Wayne called him "Bobby". I think this issue is more interesting than any discussion about the Swans/GC snoozefest.
