you didnt let the tape run too long and get a couple of episodes of Bellbird as well ? or maybe "to market to market"

Actually I noticed that through out his junior year at TAC his hair was immaculate. As soon as it was mentioned that he was likely to be picked up by us his hairy ..well...became messy. I don't like the look of that and I wouldn't draft him as I am afraid that after a two seasons he would seek a transfer to Essendon to get hair styling tips from Hurley.

Again, only relying on highlight reels, Parish does not miss a single target in the footage shown whereas Scully's footskills ( or lack thereof) were evident even in the "best of" footage.

I mentioned the folly of relying on highlight reels and maintain if you were to go by highlight reels then Francis is a no brainer. Hence the reason that you take the highlight reel with liberal dose of salt. Whispering Jack who obviously see a bit of underage footy said that Francis goes missing/ is inconsistent whereas Parish is in, under and about for the whole game/s. This is something that you can never ascertain just from watching highlight reels.

I wish I could find the actual quote but Roos is on record saying he has very little to do with draft selections. He says he has people to do that for him and whilst the whole coaching panel may discuss what the obvious needs and priorities are for the team ( ie mids - inside, outside, goal kicking ) I was left with the impression that if we wanted mids with certain traits Roos defers to the recruiting guys to pick the best available.

Couldn't disagree more - thought Brayshaws highlight package was ok ... nothing more. It says nothing about Brayshaw and said everything about the highlight package. I mentioned it elsewhere but there was two Petracca packages and one made his footskills ordinary at best - the other made his footskills look sublime. The reliance on any of these packages is sheer folly.
  8. I had dinner with Shaun Smith last year and on talking about his son he said he is a gun basketballer who played junior football but didn't have much interest now - things certainly change in a year.
  9. Nah...he is used to receiving emails from morons.
  10. For the life of me, I'm struggling to understand why any player would choose to go to Hawthorn or West Coast over our club.
  11. more to the point - it would priceless to see his eyes roll back in his head on receiving emails bagging out a trade before he has even played a game for us.
  12. Posters on here seriously make me laugh - he has not even kicked a football for us - it could turn out to be the most brilliant trade of all time or a complete dud - how would we know. Vince was an inspired choice and posters were unhappy with that one too. How about we all take a chill pill and wait for 2 weeks into the season proper and then go on a savage rampage in the vein of " why did we take Toumpas over Wines (substitute Melksham and whoever else we missed out on)
  13. I think Lumumba should produce a higher reward that we received - he perennially finishes well up in the Pies B&F. We weren't screwed on Clark - has never been able to get his body right and yet again failed him. We certainly won big time with Vince.
  14. This is just so speculative - people were happy with swapping Clark for Lumumba - both to my thinking have been a bust. (some were happy with the original Clark get and some werent) Some were unhappy in what we gave up for Vince and that looks like a steal now. This is absolutely "time will tell". I won't shed a tear ( of sadness or joy) until I see him play for us and watch what we produces.
  15. If he turns out half as good as Bernie then a 2nd rounder is cheap. If he turns out half as bad as Tom Gillies then ewwwwww. Melksham circa 2012/13 would be very nice.

I am afraid he is far too eloquent for a Demonland poster.

Saw Dave Graney and the coral snakes Saturday night - he did the "night of the wolverine" from start to finish. He was sensational and I am now proudly wearing a chocolate brown one peice jumpsuit.
  19. His tackling on Saturday was brutal.

He was resplendent in orange - and many of us in the audience also wore orange in support. On another note - Do you know of Steven Poltz ?

Ross Hannaford is quite ill and there were two benefit concerts last weekend at the Memo music hall in Melbourne - the who's who came out to play to help defray his medical bills. Hosted by Brian Nankervis - Paul Kelly, Black Sorrows, Linda Bull, Wilbur Wilde, Phil Rudd, the rest of the Daddy Cool but to name a few. Ross Hannaford opened the show and looked very frail but there was a wonderful outpouring of emotion for him. The highlight was probably Joe Camilleri - gee he gives when he performs. Disappointment - Ross Wilson - really acted like he didnt want to be there. ( at the table next to me were half of Sherbert - I managed to keep myself from throwing my panties at them)
