  1. We won, but same old story as most games this year. Poor forward delivery and retention, punctuated by clumsiness and lack of composure in defence at key moments. Except this time we got smashed in the contest too. Disappointing games by Fritsch and Pickett - but Viney completely shut down Rowell after quarter time. We really gotta fix up ground ball at both ends, we're just off the pace and it's killing our potential. Feels like back half of 2022 again.
  2. so little impact on every contest, he just melts away with the lightest touch.
  3. I have never seen so many handballs so consistently hitting the ground until watching us this year 🤔
  4. Schache needs to keep his bloody feet and stay involved in the contest if he wants to differentiate himself from Big Ben.
  5. LOL at our attacking handball attempts. Not going to win any finals if this is how we massacre the basics of football.
  6. Not sure I agree with your call on Oliver thinking his way through his disposals.. He had a game high 9 clangers tonight and was noticeably hacking it blind like his early days. Unfortunately we're not blessed with a midfield who can kick.
  7. Great last quarter but wowee do we [censored] ourselves in the D50 at the moment. Panicked handballs, awful turnovers, blokes not knowing when to go up and when to stay down, blatant blocking frees and the list goes on. Bereft of confidence down there, May is in poor form, Brayshaw so slow to get it on the boot. We look sluggish and scared. Kinda felt like we didn't deserve to win that, if they'd kicked straight in that 5 minute patch in the last I reckon we may have folded.
  8. he's bottom 5 at the moment, looks off.
  9. Concerning that many people think this 'very clearly' crossed the line. The line is also the back of the post. You all need glasses 😂
  10. It was a clear cut point, wasn't even close to crossing the line. Not sure how it could look like a goal to you?
  11. Skills. Still our greatest weakness and always will be with this group, particularly under pressure. How do we have so many poor field (and goal) kickers in one midfield, it's diabolical and hurts us every week. Yuck.
  12. 6 weeks? You're kidding, you know the tribunal looks at whether the player is actually hurt right?
  13. You simply can't play BBB in Round 1 based on this evidence. He's losing every contest.
  14. Pretty poor quarter. Very sloppy in several areas.
  15. Kicking skills. Will be our most exploited weakness yet again in 2023.
  16. I think you could make the case that we are one of, if not the slowest team on paper. Probably in the bottom 3 for kicking too, particularly our midfield group having no elite users. All of this does limit our options in changing our gameplan dramatically.
  17. Salem was never the same either. One of our best last year.
  18. It was so so flat both weeks. Low skill football.
  19. For who though? This is just half of it.
  20. I don't think we can afford to let Hibberd go yet. Charlie Cameron would kill Bowie and we have pretty poor small defender depth.
  21. We don't have high skill level in this current crop of players. When an opponent matches our contest we are cooked. Teams know if they pressure us we will turn it over MOST of the time. We'll have the occassional game where it will all click, but it's 1 in 5 at best. We got lucky one of those games was the Grand Final last year. That was the exception, not the norm. Tonight is our norm. 2022 is our norm.
  22. Who would you have brought in?
  23. Shhh.. they'll bring back James Jordan, the world's slowest man over 10 metres. Amazing depth.
  24. The worse part of this whole business was we ABSOLUTELY SH*T OURSELVES under pressure tonight. Was going to start naming names of those who had severely embarassing moments - but it was almost the entire team. That was a disgusting, limp wristed way to exit the year. Some seriously hard decisions need to be made about the makeup of this team. Good riddance to 2022.
  25. Rivers has lost the plot tonight, liability with the ball in his hands. This is so embarrassing to watch.
