The Grand Final Rematch
Maybe a good point re the 5 week reduction in preparation time - in which case it would seem equitable for both the GF and the losing OF teams to play each other in R1. It would take the shorter preseason out of the excuse box.

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
As I remember, CP5, the reigning Norm Smith medalist, was seen to have a very high ball drop when he started, but has been corrected

PLAYER NUMBERS AND BEST TEAMS
Donโt forget #32 in our previous premiership Barrie Vagg. And why move a successful Tom Sparrow from 32 to 2 ? I always remember that Liam Jurrah was only half the player at 24 than he was at 48.

Another great article on our captain.

Training Ground?
Questions - is that in the Olympic Park precinct, and what time of year is the Womenโs World Cup? (Soccer, I presume).

Welcome to Demonland: Andy Moniz-Wakefield
We have done him a service getting Jim out of that horrible Richmond jumper. Does anyone here know much about him? "Kozzie light"?

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Back to linguistics - is it not strange the the word "Democratic" in a nation's name (DRC, DDR - old East Germany and Kim's kingdom, the Democratic Republic of North Korea) usually guarantees that there is no hint of democracy. We did have a close match (in a close match by the way) at CHF in our previous premiership, (1964 for those who have very short memories) Graeme Jacobs #20.

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
" ....secret handshakes between clubs sharing info on who they want, and who they will leave for other clubs. A fraternity of goodwill emerging. ..." 16 clubs - Freo and EssUndone excluded Fraser Rosman (and maybe BaileyLaurie)??

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Won't be satisfied until Colonwood's 4 in a row is not only matched but exceeded. I suspect that Jacob's family, being from Zimbabwe, would sound to us Aussies like Afrikaners - maybe he would sound like Yakob fon Rhooyen, though may be know as Jake or even Jakko

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
As I understand the Jackson family are looking at real estate in Melbourne - maybe the van Rooyens will too?

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Welcome. I trust JT to make the call - a tall forward who is given 2-3 y to develop and not rushed as had been the cases over the last decades sounds just what we need. And am I right in saying he is a teammate of Jackson and Rivers?

Training Ground?
Surely one or more of the guys could choose, on any day required, to "identify as female" and that would do the trick!

How incredible is this partnership - went a long way to winning our flag.

EVERY ANGLE: New look at Dees' flag-winning burst
It was exactly how I felt at the time - firstly disbelief, then overwhelming joy, anticipation and expectation. "Can it really be true, can this really be happening to us?" I still tear up with pride and happiness when I watch the onslaught. I must say even tinged, ever so slightly, with a minuscule touch of commiseration for the Dog fans, as these sorts of events (though never ever nearly so totally devastatingly overwhelming) have been happening to us for decades.

Grand Final Celebration at the G
Maybe the team can sync an on field replay as the game plays out in the big screen. All they would need would be 22 red, white and blue witches hats.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Try telling that to Geelong's recruiting staff, and their coach. ๐ฎ I was just thinking, had we been 19 points up at that stage of the GF we would have been feeling pretty comfortable, as I suspect many Dogs' fans were. It was, to me, just an incredible (in the true sense - unbelievable) turnaround in the following 8 or so minutes.

2021 Player Reviews #29 Jayden Hunt
Certainly a hard luck story: injured just that little bit too late in the year to get back into the lineup. I hope he gets back in but will be up against Bowey and Hibberd in particular.

2021 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow
As much as anyone plays a position these days, I reckon he was a HFF - if that is what you mean by your question, Jontee.
