Matthews is a freak. Babcock said that he'd be a dominant player in the league by Christmas. He wasn't wrong. He's been sensational since mid-November.

6 of the Leafs rookies are currently in the top 20 for points (Matthews, Nylander, Marner are 2/3/4th) all with three games less than KO'd Laine so likely be 1st 2nd and 3rd soon.

Zaitsev has been excellent (1g, 15a) just having trouble scoring. This team is actually good!

The kid has pure footy IQ, even if he was slow he would still get to the right spots and do the right thing. Really looking forward to seeing him and Hibberd off the HBFs this year.
