  1. There's a bit of a difference between hearing rumours and posting them and pure invention in order to make a post.
  2. Well when you look at all of his posts, MrCK has had so many players rumoured to be coming our way that he eventually has to get one right... it's kind of like betting on all 24 runners in the Melbourne Cup and then afterwards boasting to everyone that you picked the winner.
  3. Facebook again? Otherwise, what is your source? Because they sure as hell seem to be taking more stabs in the dark than Norman Bates.
  4. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/35341-the-value-of-pick-no2/?p=839796
  5. No, that would be after Retep Nosjack... he's from Bizarro world, a planet populated with nothing but butchers.
  6. Worked that one out the day he first appeared... and yes, he is a little.
  7. Is it just me, or does anyone else get a mental picture of a donkey (ok, let's not sugar coat it, ass) when they read the name Enyaw?
  8. No, it was from Magner... he had forgotten he was still at the club.
  9. I know of Twisted Nerve, but no, I haven't seen it - must look out for it. The first time I saw Wages of Fear was when I was home sick from school in the 60's and it was the mid-day movie... I suppose I've had a soft spot for it ever since, but I love the slow paced building of tension... probably not as good as the original Cape Fear though with Robert Mitchum in some of his best form. Snake Pit is a psychological drama which I have always loved... Olivia de Havilland is brilliant. A couple of later films in a slightly similar vein are Polanski's Repulsion and Altman's Images. Loved both of those.
  10. Me too... I have a nice little DVD set of German horror that includes The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Nosferatu, The Golem and Waxworks. Also loved the first Frankenstein movie (Karloff) which also owed a lot to that German expressionist style. As far as dark, off centre films go, Harry, He's Here to Help is not a bad effort.
  11. Or there was no plane at all. Has anyone seen a photograph in which any part of the "plane" is visible amongst the wreckage of the building? And no one saw or filmed the plane as it approached? Hmmmm.
  12. Agree... in a well drilled team, Blease could be a very dangerous player.
  13. How would divulging the name of the player be a betrayal of your source? If you were to come on here and say, "I have heard a rumour that X player has been approached", that is no different to any other rumour on this site - you are an anonymous poster, your "source" is unnamed and no-one is any the wiser. Do these people you have spoken to know that you go onto Demonland using the moniker "goodoil"? Somehow I doubt it.
  14. No, just go and start it on a Swans forum.
  15. Then surely that would make those raking left footers all the more impressive!
  16. Wednesday Trade Wrap on the AFL website is now saying that Sewell wants to remain and it is highly unlikely he will be leaving.
  17. Are you telling me that at age 62, I am probably not ready to make a debut next year? Well, X Factor 2014 it is, I suppose!
  18. Ok, ok... I had my anglometer switched to the off position ;-)
  19. Get rid of all of the stuff about skinny kids, poor recruiting in the past and personal vendettas, and you probably have about 15 pages relating to trade rumours.
  20. Great to hear... but if that really is the case, why wouldn't they have anounced this already?
  21. Just a thought, but is there a possibility that as part of a "deal" (obviously it can't be part of a trade) to get pick 2 to Sydney, as well as giving us a player, they relent and release Dew to come to the MFC?
  22. Mahoney says: "...the club is weighing up its initial options for pick No.2, after the trade period officially opened on Monday." Now read on...
  23. Perhaps you didn't read closely, but the "next 10 years" comment was relating to the young midfielders who would benefit from his example/mentoring. As for the "witty insults"... not sure what you are talking about there... if it was the Gen-Y thing, then perhaps you need to grow a thicker skin as it was patently obvious that it was not a serious comment, and more particularly, was a general comment that was directed at no one poster in particular.
  24. Not a comment on HSo'Grinter's post, but when I clicked on his links, I am getting a login dialog that states the following: "A username and password are being requested by http://generatormeme.com. The site says: "Access Restricted (pwrestrict)" Anyone else getting that?
