  1. Yeah, seems like you just like to single out those who are in genuine need of asylum to be treated with little or no compassion. I'm sure some are compassionate with a brain, but that still doesn't explain your stance.
  2. Ok, close the thread... BH has spoken and who on this earth could argue with his ratings system (whatever it may be)?
  3. Take your blinkers off BH. Since when is compassion the domain of lefties only? Many of the people are fleeing life threatening situations and are prepared to risk their lives doing it... it's a flip of the coin... die trying or die not trying. Yeah BH, maybe you're completely lacking in any form of compassion, but don't for one moment think that all of your ultra-conservative, far right compatriots are the same as you. Interesting that the vast majority of genuine illegals are not seeking asylum and flew in by plane on tourist or student visas. In 2011 the stats indicated there were something like 13 times more illegal immigrants than there were asylum seekers in detention who had arrived by boat. This is according to a report in the Adelaide Advertiser: "Figures obtained by The Advertiser from the Immigration Department and under the Freedom of Information Act show plane arrivals from the United States (5080) and Britain (3610) are near the top of the list of those in the country without a valid visa. China (8070), and Malaysia (4200) round out the top four." You can read the rest at here at adelaidenow.

  5. Not proven yet (officially)... but yes, if charges are laid by ASADA then maybe they should lose that fixture.
  6. Unless she changed her original tweet, she actually said: "Terry Milera has gone home for the day, refused to comment on the way out. Few players inside #watters" Also, the AFL tweeted the following a few minutes ago: "It is understood Scott Watters' radio interview may have impacted on his dismissal"
  7. Conversely, if we perform poorly against those clubs (particularly the Saints in round 1), the blowtorch pointed at the MFC's belly will be turned up a few notches.
  8. terrible timing after most of the viable replacements are essentially no longer in teh market.
  9. Yep, AFL just tweeted the same... Scott Watters believed to have been sacked. Edit: now confirmed by AFL on Twitter
  10. No idea who Ergo may be.... but if you look it up in a dictionary, you will find that "ergo" also means "therefore"... hence (also another word meaning therefore), the use of therefore in place of wherefore.
  11. Well, the same could be said for our forward line.. none of Dawes, Clark or Hogan have played together at this level.
  12. Ergo, Ergo, therefore art thou Ergo?
  13. I don't understand this... sure, I agree that we should not be playing home games at Etihad and I believe that Etihad is a dangerous ground with regards to a high risk of leg/knee injuries, but since we are playing there, why would people not go? It's convenient to transport, relatively comfortable and to get the the heart of the matter, when we go to watch a game, we go to support our team, not to critique the ground and its amenities. If anyone has cause for complaint, I would say it's the players, not the supporters. Having said that, I haven't attended a game there (my comments are garnered from other people and from seeing it on TV)... so what exactly is the problem from a spectator's point of view?
  14. ** WARNING - MANY VERY NAUGHTY WORDS **
  15. Looks like they want Hawthorn gone as well?
  16. It's been like that for us Sydneysiders as well... we went for 4 years without a Dees game in Sydney (played one in 2007 and next was last year).
  17. It all depends on that first game against the 'aints... if we lose that, going by previous years' form, we are going to be in a lot of trouble... if we win it, we will have some momentum to build on.
  18. Not to mention our record at Etihad. We had better pick up some good rookies now, because the biggest fear with Etihad (and particularly so early in the season) is injuries... long term leg injuries. I know I am sounding pessimistic, but I would love to see stats on the numbers of long term injuries occurring at Etihad, compared to any other ground.
  19. Hey, I just put out a name and a link... it was all of the people contributing that made it the "worst thread ever" (and that "worst thread ever" bucket must be getting very full by now).
  20. "Cale fail"? Why do people seemingly take pleasure in continuing to rubbish our cast-offs well after they have left the club?
  21. Tambling cut but career may continue
  22. Um, you didn't happen to notice the dates on those two posts you responded to, did you? Hopefully Cards13 has managed to get over his 2 week injury in the 4 years since it happened, and if you are lucky, you might be able to find a copy of Dlango Unchained in the bargain bins at JB HiFi ;-)
  23. Well, others believe and have made observations that he has played as a small forward... toss a coin I say.
  24. I believe it is Supermercado who was (is?) a poster on these forums... I have no reason to doubt his information as no doubt like yourself, his info is likely based on observation, but unlike the rest of us, he has been dilligent and dedicated enough to document such information for all MFC players.
  25. Maybe he hit E when he meant to hit S?
