  1. Wait until Roos gets them out on the put-put golf course... the boys won't know what's hit them!!
  2. Not digging deep at all...I just found it amusing.
  3. Back to the title of this thread... according to news.com's political editor, Malcolm Farr: Apparently it's true. PM Abbott told Aung San Suu Kyi (house arrest roughly 15 years), "I was an Opposition Leader myself for 4 years." Beyond life in politics, a future in the diplomatic corps awaits.
  4. Thought that was Brock McLean with a beard.
  5. Hello? Enyaw, are you in there?
  6. That's why he will be such a big surprise :-)
  7. Seems Brown is still a Hawthorn boy through and through...this time he was defending the honour of his former Hawks team mate Gibson.
  8. Well, I guess it all depends on the accuracy of the quote WJ has posted. If indeed he did arrive back only last night, then I would have to be very dubious... I know the last thing I would be doing after a long flight from LA and with the situation I was in, would be heading out to visit people.
  9. Hang on a second... it was quoted just above by WJ(?) I think, that Brown flew in last night (Thursday) along with May and the doctor... are you saying that the first thing he did was speed directly around to your sister's place to profess his innocence (ok, ok, he may have made a detour past his own place to drop off his bags)?
  10. Great reports... did Clark pull up ok after the session? No concerned looks from the physios etc? I'm pleased to read that Barry is doing so well... I get the feeling he may be one of the biggest surprises at the MFC in season 2014. Now that we have two comprehensive training reports in, let the bickering begin.
  11. Allegedly
  12. And you base this claim on?
  13. then maybe the rule should be "what happens outside of Wongs, stays at Wongs"... kind of like confessional for the rest of us who aren't Catholics.
  14. Please don't do that... there are too many bozos on this bus that will take that bait.
  15. Oops, my bad... apologies.
  16. Regardless of what you think, Roos will NOT take him under his No D*ckheads policy... and if you think someone who breaks a teammate's jaw (apparently something to do with the bill in a restaurant), kicks a player in the head among other efforts throughout his career, is not a [censored], then I really don't know what would qualify as one under Roos policy. Oh and by the way, it was Arizona, not LA.
  17. I think you might find he would have a little trouble getting past Roos' NDH policy.
  18. How about giving this thread a couple of days to settle all of the info, then remove all replies, lock it and pin it to the top of this forum as a great reference "document"?
  19. Exactly... except I would say there were more than a few posters on here who questioned the fact that he wasn't promoted, on a weekly basis. If I remember rightly, there was also a lot of speculation that there must have been some sort of rift formed between Neeld and Magner, as that could be the only way of explaining it.
  20. But by all reports, he did seem to be doing just that and the fact that he was 4th in the Casey best and fairest would tend to support that. Anyway, mine is just one man's opinion and the world won't end because of it :-)
  21. It will be interesting if there is any truth to what he is saying about Buckley losing the respect of some of the players... is it possible that we might see the Pies start to stall and even fall out of the eight in 2014?
  22. I think you're reading far too much into my comment. Magner had been performing exceptionally well at Casey while our midfield at AFL level were performing dismally. Supposedly players who were performing consistently well at Casey were to be rewarded with a run in the main team if the opportunity arose, however Magner was overlooked time and time again despite the fact that we were in desperate need of more grunt in the midfield. Regardless of whether he was up to AFL standard or not, he should have at least been given the chance to prove the naysayers wrong and at the very least rewarded for his effort, particularly when he would probably have out performed a number of mids who were retained in the senior side. What did they have to lose by giving him a place that he had patently earned? He had every right to feel aggrieved, but he chose not to be. I thought it was pretty obvious that my comment would not have applied to all of our delisted players.
  23. Actually, after Shorten copping a few less than flattering reworkings of his name, the opposition has come back rather nicely with Pyneochhio.
  24. I had plantains (at least I think that's what they were) in Borneo... these ginormous things couldn't be eaten raw, so had them fried in a very light batter for breakfast (in a long house); so much flavour!
