Allegation?? Nice to see that the humour bypass was a success. But I'm sure you know how to use google, so feel free to reacquaint yourself with the One Nation policies at your leisure. And I would have thought you would have considered a comparison with those people to be a compliment rather than an insult.Oh, and on your question to "leftists" generally, if you look at some of the Christian groups operating in Africa, you will find that the deaths at their hands outweigh those of the Islamist fundamentalists. And the fact that you consider them to be a different beast is neither here nor there... they are self confessed christians who interpret the word of god differently to moderate christians...just as your fundamentalist Islamists interpret the words of the Koran differently to the moderates. And why do you discount Bush? I believe it was he who declared the war on terrorism, no? And I believe that he did so in the name of his god.

That whole series of milk as fashion shots is amazing.
-
Now why doesn't that surprise me?... your thoughts are all scripted by the Bolts of the world.
-
You have provided nothing of substance beyond a few opinions that are yours alone - I can only assume from your comments that you have undertaken an in depth study of the Koran? Yes, I am left wing and I seriously believe that you are extreme right as your views and opinions (formed mostly for you by the likes of Bolt) fit the profile.

The more I read 'H', the more I get the feeling his real name is David Oldfield... then again, given his previous avatar, he may well be Pauline.

You asked me to "Do me a favour, list all of the problems with Islam and Muslim immigration worldwide."... you did suggest I also name bombings etc.... I was arguing that christianity is no better than islam and was arguing that it was all down to how the word was interpreted. Fundamentalist christians such as those I listed have used their interpretation of the word of christianity to justify their actions... that was precisely the point I was making, that like those fundamentalist christians, there are fundamentalist muslims who also interpret the word of the Koran to suit their agendas. If that is a hard concept for you to get your head around, then I'm sorry, that is your problem. The reason I cited Bush in there was that he used the same rhetoric as the islamic fundamentalists that he was condemning... using his "god" as a justification for his actions and then doing precisely what his enemy was guilty of... slaughtering innocents. You I suppose, approved of his actions. You are not trying to debate anything as you ask us to provide evidence and lists for you, yet you have offered up nothing more than a blanket statement that islam is bad and they cannot assimilate... you offered no instances of how or why, no evidence, nothing.

Jim Jones and his People's Temple... 300 children and 600 adults effectively murdered Order of the Solar Temple - mass deaths (murders/suicides) in Canada and Switzerland - and I do treat these suicides as a kind of murder due to the brain washing that has taken place plus the fact that it was take your own life or be shot (much like in Jonestown). Anders Breivik a fundamentalist christian killed 77 innocent people Do a little study of the Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God in Uganda... and who cares if christianity in Africa is a "different beast"? The fact is that these people are interpreting the word in a way that justifies there appalling offences... much the same way as fundamentalist islamics do. MOST people who follow the islamic faith are peace loving people... you just refuse to acknowledge that. Even George Bush jnr himself commenced his war on terrorism using similar rhetoric to the people he was attacking... god willing we will prevail. How many innocent people died as a result of the ensuing attacks? (I suppose that good old christian saying "an eye for an eye" applies?) And no, that does not mean I support the attacks on the World Trade Centre (too easy to predict you would probably take that line of logic).
-
You can do the research...but here's a clue... Uganda, Tanzania, children victims in witch hunts, Nigeria, Norway (a recent mass killing you may have heard of carried out by a fundamentalist christian), and the list goes on.

And the (extreme) right it seems, love to emote and feign offence. You have proven in your diatribes in this particular topic that you are so far right you are close to falling off your flat earth.
-
Thanks Hannibal, you just gave me a genuine belly laugh.
-
I live in a part of Sydney that has a large islamic population, many of my kids friends are from families that practice the islamic faith and all of them are far more tolerant than Hannibal. I have never felt threatened and have received nothing but courtesy in places like Lakembah, Belmore, Campsie, Canterbury etc where there are large islamic populations. We have a number of friends who married into the islamic faith and have no issues at all. As for the islamic regard for women, well that is no different to most religions that are for the most part dominated by males and treat women as second class. All religions, in my opinion are about controlling people, so I have little time for any of them, but to claim that islam is an evil religion (as our friend H does) is an absolute joke... it all comes down to how the word is interpreted and christians are as guilty as anyone when it comes to that... fundamentalism in any religion is dangerous.

I suggest you do a little searching in relation to some of the christian groups operating in Africa, not to mention Ireland in the recent past and the Crusades in the distant past. The Vatican was built on the spoils of the pillaging and plundering and murder that took place during the Crusades... and they still claim it as their own.
-
Yes, and there are plenty of facts to prove that Christians are a dangerous bunch as well and that Catholics are thieves and plunderers and murderers... I'll let you search for all of that info rather than spell it out for you here. "My asylum seeker policy has nothing to do with Islam, which is why I've never brought Muslims up in any debate about asylum seekers." - well CBF seemed to make a mockery of that statement with his citing of your own words. Now I would like you to cite any post of mine that says I favour any policy or disregard any policy... in fact I have said that we should be organising to arrange these asylum seekers safe passage from Indonesia. Likewise I would like to to cite any post where I have said I favour a carbon tax.
-
You have stated no facts about Islam... simply tried to justify your political leanings and "faith" to me (or anyone else who might care read it). At least we now understand your really motives for supporting the Libs asylum seeker policy... nothing to do with human life... everything to do with your hatred of Islam.

All of it... and how like the extreme right wing to have no clue.
-
On Demonland, that is pretty much par for the course.
-
Yes, I particularly like the Russ Meyer interest... Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is one of my favourite "trash" films along with most of John Waters' films.

I hope to put up a YouTube link here in the near future, for a song that an old band mate, his son and I have recorded just recently. The interesting thing with the recording is that my friend (the guitarist) and his son (who until just a couple of weeks ago, had a great little band called Dying Breeds) are both living in Norwich in the UK and I am here in Sydney. They recorded the music (my friend laying down all of the guitar and bass and his son the drums and production) then sent me the mixed MP3 as a guide. I then loaded the guide track into GarageBand, put my MacBook Pro under my arm and wandered off down to a friend's studio in Ultimo and added the vocals. I then sent back an isolated vocal track and my friend's son then mixed a final version and now we just need to throw together some sort of clip using a bunch of still images. The other thing is that the original version of this song was recorded on a four track tape in 1979 and just 500 copies pressed (very roughly I might add), some of which sold through Missing Link in Melbourne and Phantom Records in Sydney. The reason our band split at that time was that my friend the guitarist had to return to the UK due to being an illegal immigrant following the expiry of his visa. We finally made contact again just recently through Facebook and decided to redo the song... the marketing line I suppose will be "Separated by 35 years and 17,000 kilometres" Anyway, as soon as it is finished, I will put the link here. In the meantime, here are a couple of clips of Dying Breeds (my friend's son is on guitar (Les Paul, not Stratocaster) and vocals) - hope you enjoy: This one (Planet Me) has a pretty cheesy clip, but I like the song...

Yes, I would think if fit, it will be Kent in place of Watts at HF

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
hardtack replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, I still have great memories of watching sputnik go overhead (a moving dot), of watching the Melbourne Olympics on TV and of sitting up late (or was i early?) for the first satellite broadcast that culminated in the Beatles live in the recording studio performing All You Need is Love. Good times! -
And that fits perfectly with the expectation that he will return to full training next week.

Spoken like a true right wing [censored] :-)

To me that doesn't indicate anything. Possibly an oversight on Ryan's part and that the "can afford to be managed through January" indicates that his hamstring issue is not really affecting his progress in any great measure.

I found his comment suggesting that the ABC support the "home team" a little odd... perhaps he should get some advice from China's politbureau to see how he can best go about that.
