Geeze we’re going in tall by today’s standards. Seven players over 190cm compared to the Saints’ four. That’s not including the likes of Fritsch and Hannan who are just below that.

That's a fair assumption but it doesn't always work that way. I've played sport with guys whose performance level would noticeably drop when surrounded by other players with slower reaction times etc. It's not one size fits all, in my experience. I would hope Jeffy's focus would be meeting some defensive KPIs and in meeting those forging a path back into the side. We all know what he can do offensively and that will never change. He is a natural talent.

Worth noting he stunk it up in the magoos at Carlton as well which is partly they traded him for a bag of chips. I understand he needs to earn his spot but maybe the VFL just isn't his bag. Maybe the pace of the game is too slow for him. I'm speculating, but I've no doubt that with regular game time he's still a 40-50 goal a year forward. If we trade him then that's what he will be kicking for the club we trade him to.
