    Well, let's see how much the likes of Gysberts (currently playing VFL), Morton (currently playing WAFL) and Bennell (still injured) do under new regimes. Given what's happened to 2 out of those 3, I'd say that their new teams aren't doing any better at developing them than we did.

    Casey kicked 23 goals on the weekend. Kent managed one of those, albeit a nice one. He wasn't listed in the bests, and was mid-table for possessions. We have enough kids whose development has been cruelled by being thrown in too early, at least let's learn from our mistakes. He's 18. Let him have half a season of really solid performances at Casey and actually earn a call-up.

    Because Sylvia was such a mega-star under Bailey? And ignoring that Watts' best footy ever for the Dees was that middle patch last year before he injured his ankle.

    Craig made the point that he took a couple of marks backing into packs. Pedersen has shown he can play, and showed it again last week, albeit at a lower level. We can but hope that that transfers to the big stage.

    Astounded that people can complain about our performances, then defend Watts. He had a great off-season, but has been catastrophic in the 2 games he's played. Blease also was abysmal last week.

    Pedersen did very well at Casey last week - 11 marks, 21 disposals. We need someone doing that around the ground - if he can bring it to the big league that is. Happy otherwise, tough on Blease, but he did less in a whole game against the Dons than he did in a quarter against Port. Needs to start delivering or risk becoming another Col Sylvia - sure he'll get it together.
