Plenty of permutations, but I just feel from the noises coming out of the club (Neeld, Garland), that Terlich and Matt Jones will play, and probably Pederson. I'd take Sellar over Pederson, but there you go. Neeld mentioned six new faces, and Garland mentioned 8, so that would make it: Dawes, Byrnes, Rodan ... and then Terlich, Jones and one or both of Pederson or Toumpas. Also, I'd be surprised if Jetta isn't included. From all reports he's done pretty well everything right in the off-season, was close to BOG in the Casey trial and in Renmark, and for the first time has a full pre-season under his belt. Is a "Neeld" type player, nuggety and hard at it, and with decent disposal. Feel that it's too probably too early for Kent, not forgetting that he was apparently carrying some kind of injury.

People here have been complaining about not picking up more sponsors - but when we land a nice deal that could build over the longer term to be worth quite a substantial amount, plus bring in a few new members and supporters, there are plenty, it seems, ready to criticise.

Off LT injury list this Friday apparently, so must be close to some (Casey) game time.

About time that we start a Well Done Dave Misson thread. Coming into the season proper with close to a full list, and no long(er) term injuries incurred during pre-season.

He earned his couple of matches in the first 22, on the back of consistent and solid form at Casey, doing what he was asked to do. If you missed that, or don't understand that, or weren't reading the Casey reviews, or didn't attend any Casey matches, or for whatever other reason don't get it, that's a reflection on you, not him. Where was Jamar at when he was Fitzy's age?

I know none of us here have ever been at an AFL club, but I never cease to be amazed by the lack of understanding of just how much real work goes on outside of those couple of hours each weekend that we get to see.

Davey's an interesting one. I just wonder whether or not there's something going on in his head. It's just that when he's a senior player or leader and has a role as such, he seems to be doing well. But when he's in the full team alongside the likes of Rodan and Byrne - who have perhaps stolen his thunder - he underperforms. He was one of the (key) leaders for the indigenous team, and did well, was acting captain in Renmark and did well, and was probably the most senior player at Casey yesterday and apparently did well (OK, only Casey ...).

I don't know that it is. I actually wonder whether or not Jack has been instructed to stay out of contests where possible so he's ready to receive. You would presume that if it was a pressing issue, the coaching staff would have been onto it. On the other hand, I read a review in Another Place that cited a few occasions yesterday when Jack was well and truly in the thick of it.

Wake up, half the team was missing, including most of our key position players and defenders, and we had nearly half a team out there who've never played AFL before.

Looks fairly healthy as it is IMHO - nearly all those guys could be ready for Round 1, or thereabouts.

Especially while in rehab for a wrist injury. Impressive work by Dave Misson and his team.

We didn't get rid of Rivers or Moloney, both left of their own accord under FA. We had a season full of threads trashing Moloney, and now he's gone it was a "big mistake".
