1. He really is a Johnson replacement! Well, well, well...
2. Is the NZ series over yet?
3. Who would you open with?
4. Absolutely; Vettori's value with the bat is criminally underrated.
5. Wow, India were 9 wickets down at the end too!
6. WYL - Use the media tag:
7. Good to see some fresh faces. Starc should probably carry the drinks.
8. My reading of Cricinfo's text commentary was that he wasn't batting very well.
9. I love Test cricket. Australia wins, Cummins lives the dream.
10. I like the look of Wade.
11. I'm quite shocked by the news.
12. Not much point making spur of the moment decisions based on a game that had part of four innings in one day, but you're not far off on them. Haddin is struggling big time but he's fortunate that an understudy isn't pushing hard right now. (Paine is nursing a broken finger IIRC). Ponting looks like he might be on his last legs; Roebuck or Baum wrote an article on this in the past few days. As for Hughes, I've never been convinced. I think they'll all play next Test, but anyone pushing for their spots probably feels like they're in with a chance (excluding The Kat, of course).
13. Haha, wowee. Siddle 3rd highest scorer in our first innings, top scorer atm in our second (and likely to stay that way unless Lyon overtakes him).
14. I better ban you, H_T. It's for our own good
15. Wow! Test cricket, hey chaps?
16. What a great innings by Clarke. Not only did he score 150, but he did it quickly too.
17. He played what looks like the next three Tests following his debut century and was then dropped until 1985, four years later. He played one Test in '85 and another, his sixth, in '87: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/8198.html?class=1;template=results;type=batting;view=innings
18. I had no idea who Dirk Wellham was so I checked out Cricinfo. In his first Test he hit 103 (and 24) at the Oval. However, he played a further five Tests (in Australia and England), finishing with a career batting average of 23. He didn't pass 36 in any innings bar his century.
19. On a similar vein, apparently in Watson's recent book he recounts a sledge he made about Stuart Law. Watson suggested Law was not a very likeable character and brought up the fact he never played Test cricket again after his one knock of 54* in a winning Test.
20. I dub it the Terminator argument.
21. ^^ I thought I read today something about 14 years (re: St Kilda's complaining, reported in The Age). Haha. Smooth
22. Cricket boards always sound like they're being managed terribly: http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/windies-froze-me-out-says-emotional-gayle-20110421-1dq2v.html
23. Hopefully the ICC rethinks the World Cup format, bringing some associates into the fold.
24. Keep fighting the good fight.
