  1. The pitch was absolutely pathetic. Ive seen roadkill with more life than that wicket had by the end of the match. Warner and Hughes were exceptional, perhaps the Vics could have bowled at the stumps a bit more, but every match this tournament 110 in the opening innings has been enough to win the match. NSW making 169 was astonishing.

Having Lee, Clark and Bollinger in your side - 3 of the countries top 10 pace bowlers - and yet opening the bowling with Hauritz just shows how dead the wicket was.

  2. So long as we retain the QB fixture, and so long as the majority of our home games are against Victorian teams, I'll be happy.

I'm really hoping we don't get lots of twilight games, and I hope we don't find ourselves hosting 4 of our 10 MCG home matches against interstate clubs again. But since we are basically in a position of no power, I'm expecting more crap.

wonder how many monday night games there will be next season, i hope the dee's dont play any of them

  3. Its only a rumor that Freddie might be playing for South Australia. I wouldnt rate it much more than a 50% chance that he will play in any Australian domestic team.

If Murali pulls out i think its Dwayne Bravo (?) that the Vics have lined up. Someone of that ilk anyway.

John Holland will get broken into it this summer i'd assume; he seems to be everybodys love child at the moment - but Hauritz has been dominating recently, so there is no way they will drop Hauritz for Holland. I wouldnt think he'd get a bowl at the Sydney test, but stranger things have happened.

  4. Tridents have a choice of N52 - N54 on Level 2 Northern Stand or N15 - N9 on level 2 Southern stand.

Presidents I am not sure but probably the same with a few extra benefits.

Tridents can bring guests guest pass $17.00 plus admission) but as you have a reserved seat - no seat for guests. Guests can sit Level 2A in Southern Stand or N56 in Northern stand or view from Hasset room. Not sure about Presidents.

To put it in a different perspective; Trident members sit on the flank, roughly where the 50m line meets the boundary line. The Presidents sit further around towards the wing, the last section of public seating before it becomes MCC zoning. (Almost underneath the radio commentary boxes).

as far as i know the Presidents guest area is the same area as the Trident guest area, which is located inbetween the Trident and President seating (half way between the flank and the wing)

Not sure; but as a Trident member i usually sit in the Redlegs reserved seating 'area' which is directly behind the goals in the southern stand - so i assume presidents can sit there as well if they choose.

Uhm, essentially the only other difference between Trident and President membership is that Presidents can visit the change rooms for 1 match and attend a luncheon thing for presidents members.

Im trying to decide whether or not to upgrade to President level too - i think i will just for Jimmy.
